Car Rental San Sebastián

Once you've covered all the terrific places in San Sebastián, there's more to see in the surrounding area. Grab the keys to a rental car, pack your bags in the trunk and take to the open road. These are some road trips we know you'll love:

• You'll find Mall of the Andes and lots more amazing sights in Ambato. From San Sebastián, it's 120 miles away.
• Your next pit stop? Make it Riobamba, which is around 90 miles away. Olympic Stadium is one local highlight you won't want to miss.
• Get out into nature and breathe in some fresh air at El Panecillo. It's approximately 190 miles from San Sebastián.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Ecuador, then you might need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. Also consider that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. Some other requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or over in many countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
