It is only a block from the highway and there are other houses on the street. There were trucks and tractors up and down the street all day. The entry to the staircase to the upstairs is low. I only whacked my head on it twice before I learned to duck when using the stairs. All of the bedrooms are upstairs and the two bathrooms are downstairs. So if you have to use the restroom in the middle of the night you have to go down the stairs and remember to duck so you don't whack your head. The two lamps in the living room both had burnt out bulbs. I was able to find some extras in the cabinets and replace them both. The selection of knives in the kitchen to cook with is laughable. A decent set of knives could go a long way here. Also, staying here either requires the purchase of an insurance plan or a 3000 deposit. 3000? Is that a typo? I personally would not stay here again, but if you are looking for a quaint place to stay off of the highway, that is what this is. ##### Corey W. It is spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. For people with even mild mobility or balance issues this is perhaps not the right fit place, as all four bedrooms are upstairs and both bathrooms are downstairs. Also a walker or rolling oxygen tank would not do well across the thick grass, which would be necessary to reach the few steps. I was glad that for the first time in many years my grandmother wasn't traveling with me, though I'm sure I'd have figured things out ahead of time because the owner, Gordon, was a very thoughtful and kind communicator. There is an extremely bright exterior light above the porch closest to the driveway, so I did not sleep in the room that I thought was the nicest, in order to avoid the exterior light at night, but it did work very nicely as a nightlight in the kitchen by just leaving the blinds a bit open in the kitchen at night. My cell service carrier is AT&T and I had full bars nearly all the time, enough to use a hotspot, probably, if I'd wanted to. I enjoyed the serene quiet, a book, and a puzzle. I had a wonderful stay, and I would definitely stay here again. It is a very cozy, very clean, and very quiet little place. I loved it! ##### DawnDee B. The four bedrooms allowed us space you spread out. Opening the windows and turning on the fans kept everyone cool and comfortable. Having a bath and a half was very convenient. We made our meals in the kitchen or on the grill outside. (Dave’s Jubilee Market in Ashton had everything we needed.). We enjoyed making s’mores in the fire pit. One of our daughters entertained us by playing the piano. Some enjoyed playing cards at kitchen table and everyone loved gazing at the stars in the night sky. We visited Mesa Falls, Yellowstone National Park, and the Grand Tetons. The drive was not far and we looked forward to going back to the cabin each day. Communication with the manager was easy and he quickly responded to my mesaages. We very much enjoyed reading the book about the history of this house and meeting two of the family members was an unexpected highlight of stay at the cabin. Although we live over 25 hours away our family is hoping to return to this cabin in a couple of years. We spent quality family time relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. We loved our stay and felt at home. There is only one bathroom with a shower so plan accordingly with multiple people. We’ll stay here again! ##### Sam S. Everything was just as advertised. It was a little farther from Yellowstone than we had hoped but that is on us for not figuring it out sooner. ##### Valree S. The host is very responsive and accommodating. The home was clean, neat and well cared for. The grounds are pretty and very quiet. We will be booking this property again.
