Experience the romantic countryside in a restored stone house in the heart of the Maremma of Volterra between the sea and the Etruscan city of Alabaster. Ideal for relaxing and peaceful holidays in Tuscany (also suitable for couples and families) with culture, great panoramic views, swimming pool, good food of Mamma Claudia, sport activities such as walking and cycling. In the Villa Rustica there are 4 rooms. The room Lavanda and Pervinca are located on the ground floor and each one has its own private entrance. Lavanda room is furnished with double bed, bathroom (WC / shower) and a well equipped kitchen corner; the family room Pervinca is furnished with a double bed and a Sofà bed for 2 people, a bathroom (WC / shower) and with a well equipped kitchen corner. At first floor are located 2 adjacent rooms (Mirto and Ciclamino) with shared private entrance. The Mirto room is furnishedwith a Sofà bed for 2 people (plus an extra Sofà bed for 1 on demand), with bathroom (WC / shower) and a well equipped kitchen corner; the room Mirto is connected through a corridor with the room Ciclamino which is furnished with canopy double bed and a bathroom (WC-shower).
For married couples, single families or small groups it is possible to rent just one, two or three rooms. An generous breakfast with our organic agricultural products is possible on demand (price not included in the rent rate). Once per week mom Claudia cooks the typical Tuscan food for the guests on demand (price not included in the rent rate) . In the back house there is a 50 square meters Veranda with Wi-Fi internet access, TV, DVD player and CD player available.
On the first floor live in a small apartment the owners Claudia and Enrico who can prepare for you a generous breakfast on demand (usually it is requested on the first day) or a typical tuscan dinner (possible once per week) and who take care of the garden/park and of cleaning the pool. If you will arrive later than expected , for example, you can turn to them

Great summer break in Tuscany - July 2020
We were a group of 7 and rented all 4 rooms in the building. We loved the private, remote location and the outdoor areas - such as the covered seating area next to the grill and games on the lawn! The pool is huge and especially deep! Claudia takes great care of it (we could not find the special sun tan cream that she recommended - for some reason our normal sun tan lotions caused white swimming costumes to go yellow in places). Thankfully I read a review about the mosquitoes so we came well prepared with mozzie vapour devices for the rooms and insect repellent to spray on - even in the mornings! I missed noticing that there is no dishwasher available, but this at least gave the kids a learning opportunity! We can highly recommend the “Le Vecchie Cantine” restaurant in Chianni and ,if you want to go to the sea, the Spiagge Bianche beach near Vada is a great white beach to visit with lots of parking. Many thanks for a wonderful holiday...!

A perfect Tuscan retreat
I hired the whole villa for my family of 4 as we wanted privacy and that's exactly what we got. The villa is incredibly gorgeous, with everything you could possibly need, the views are spectacular and Claudia and Enrico are superb hosts. Claudia cooked an evening meal and breakfast for us when we arrived, we have not stopped talking about how delicious it was! I misunderstood the dynamics of the villa and didn't realise that my children (9 and 12yrs) would have their own apartment, with kitchen and their own front door key! My children were thrilled with this but I was apprehensive with them locking themselves in their rooms at night and me not being able to get in. Claudia quickly resolved this by getting me an extra set of keys cut to put my mind at ease! To be honest though, it was just me overreacting as the villa is extremely secluded and gated! The pool is simply fantastic, deep enough to dive in with plenty of loungers. We didn't leave the villa for days on end, it was a perfect way to relax. One thing that you must realise when booking this property is that it's deep in the countryside so you must expect lots of wildlife, which mostly for us was a delight with birds, lizards, deer, hedgehogs and donkeys but obviously lots of mosquitos. We were bitten quite a lot and Claudia gave us a mosquito net which did help. I would highly recommend you are prepared for this though. In the UK, when my children see a fly or bee in the garden, they go running inside, in Tuscany however there is no getting away from it and after a day or so I found them completely ignoring anything that flew their way! Definitely did them the world of good. I cannot recommend this villa enough, definitely our best holiday ever!!

Beautiful retreat in the heart of Tuscany
An absolutely stunning property with gracious hosts. Centrally located within 35 minutes to the train station in Pontedera, and within 1 to 2 hours of Cinque Terre, Lucca, Volterra, Mediterranean beaches, and Florence. It is a beautiful spot!

Wonderful, family trip.
Beautiful house and view. Hospitable and helpful. Comfortable and hot showers. WiFi in the common area (not in the rooms). Use google maps satellite to find. Laundry is available but not in the room. We stayed here with 2 kids and it was very family friendly. Claudia and Enriqo were wonderful!

Quiet and enchanting, garden of eden, with a pool ! Tuscan perfection.
We stayed for one week, sharing the facility with another family of friends. We had the domain to ourselves. The house and the garden are beautiful, perfectly tended. It's extremely peaceful (the house is way down a little path that goes through a tuscan wood. No neighbours at all) The view on the tuscan hills from the wintergarden is gorgeous, From the bedrooms and the main living space, the view in on the garden only, but it's still lovely. Claudia and Enrico are charming. They live on the property so you can ask them questions if you need but you will still feel like you're on your own. It's very private (if you rent the whole place, which we did. I don't think we would have liked to share with strangers though). They have cats and dogs but you barely see them. The pool was the perfect size for kids to swim and adults to refresh, always clean, with lovely flower surroundings. The tiny and charming town of Chianni is the place to go to get fresh bread, gelatis, delicious Italian meats and cheeses, oil, fruits etc. I highly recommend this wonderful home for your next family vacation. (wifi only works in wintergarden, which is very nice if you actually want to vacation and not watch your phone!)

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche bei Claudia. Die Kinder wollten gar nicht mehr heim. Ideal für Menschen, die die Ruhe suchen und viel Zeit miteinander verbringen wollen. Ausflüge waren machbar, wir haben die Fahrten durch die Landschaft mit wenig Verkehr sehr genossen. Im Dorf kann man toll essen und wir waren täglich bei Anna im Cafe

Prachtige rustige omgeving, maar lees goed!
Het zijn 3 appartementen die je huurt in een prachtige, rustige omgeving. De eigenaresse houdt dit netjes bij. Mooie tuin, prima zwembad. Je huurt niet het hele huis (blijkbaar staat dit op de site?) dus de eigenaresse is veelvuldig aanwezig in haar gedeelte van het huis. Wat je ziet op de startfoto, dat is het gedeelte wat je huurt. De achterkant wordt bewoond door de eigenaresse. Wij dachten namelijk dat het een privé huis was waar wij alleen zouden zitten en dachten dit ook geverifieerd te hebben. Dat wij nog een naheffing kregen omdat we met 5 waren i.p.v. 4 mensen vonden wij niet gepast mede omdat wij voor meer nachten hadden betaald voor 4. (9 nachten voor 4 betaald terwijl dit 7 nachten voor 4 was). Daarover in gesprek was niet mogelijk en het voelde niet goed en zelfs een beetje intimiderend, dat was jammer want dat was een smet op de gastvrijheid. Het is namelijk wel een mooie locatie als je van rust en ruimte houdt. Je zit wel op een afgelegen plek dus als je iets wilt ondernemen dan zal je kilometers in de auto moeten afleggen.

Wunderschöne Location
Für unsere Familie mit 7 Personen war das Haus, dass in 3 einzelne Wohnungen aufgeteilt ist, perfekt geeignet. Der große Pool wurde zwei mal am Tag gereinigt und von uns sehr intensiv genutzt. Es waren ausreichend Liegen und Sonnerschirme vorhanden. Der Garten war sehr gepflegt. Die Aussicht ist sensationell. Die Outdoor Küche war toll, aber klein und hat auch keinen Kühlschrank. Insgesamt können wir die Unterkunft durchaus empfehlen.

Ferien Villa gesucht - Paradies gefunden
Ein Traum! Wir waren eine 7er Gruppe (alle erwachsen) plus Hund und eine Woche zu Gast. Das Anwesen ist wunderschön, riesig und Natur pur! Die Zimmer sind rustikal und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles sehr sauber. Küche/n ist/sind bestens ausgestattet, uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Der Garten war sehr gepflegt und bietet ein wunderbares Panorama über die toskanischen Hügelketten, Blumen, Blüten, Kräuter, Olivenbäume - ein Fest für alle Sinne. Ein besonderes Highlight ist die Gartenküche im Freien für unvergessliche Pasta- und Grill-Abende. Der Pool hat uns auch bei 35 Grad genug Abkühlung geboten. Das Haus liegt bei Chianni (ein süßes kleines Dorf) und man kann von dort aus auch Tagesausflüge nach Florenz, Pisa oder zum Meer unternehmen, wobei wir darauf aber aufgrund der immensen Hitze weitestgehend verzichtet haben. Claudia und ihre Tiere - ein großer, aber sehr süßer Hund, Katzen, Esel und Hühner - machen den Aufenthalt im Poggio ai Lupi zu einem einzigartigen, unübertrefflichen Erlebnis, was wir jederzeit wiederholen würden! Vielen Dank für diese tolle unvergessliche Zeit!

Wir verbrachten 2 Wochen im September bei Claudia in Poggio ai Lupi. Claudia ist eine liebeswerte, ältere Dame, die das Objekt in bewundernswerter Weise betreut. Der Pool ist wunderbar und die Aussicht herrlich. Das Haus ist mit wunderschönen Bildern und alten toskanischen Möbeln ausgestattet, weshalb man sich direkt wohl fühlt, wenn man ein Faible dafür hat. Umgeben von Olivenhainen und wilder Natur (Wildschwein & Co sind abends regelmäßige Besucher in unmittelbarer Umgebung) kann man die Seele baumeln lassen. Lucca ca. 1,5 Stunden, Volterra 3/4 Stunde.

Ein schöner Ort zum Entspannen
Ein sehr gepflegter und liebevoll gestalteter Aussenbereich, großer Pool, der täglich gereinigt wird, gut ausgestattete Außenküche. Die Zimmer sind sauber und schön eingerichtet. Wir hatten zu fünft (3 Kinder und 2 Erwachsene) drei separat abschließbare Zimmer mit jeweils einem Doppelbett (und bei Bedarf weiteren Schlafplätzen.) Mussten zwar etwas ausprobieren, wer mit wem schläft, bis alle zufrieden waren, aber dann hat alles wunderbar funktioniert. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Chianni sind vorhanden, ein Tagesausflug nach Pisa oder San Vincenco bietet sich während des Aufenthalts an. In der Nähe (5 Autominuten entfernt) gibt es einen kleinen Wasserfall als ein kurzes Ausflugsziel. Wir sind von der Gegend und dem schönen Ambiente des Anwesens begeistert und bedanken uns bei Claudia für diese wunderbare Zeit! Eine klare Empfehlung!

Traumhafter Landurlaub mit toller Betreuung
Das Haus liegt wunderschön abgelegen in einem sehr großen Areal mit Wald, Olivenhain, Weinberg und Eselweide. Die Aufteilung in drei Apartments ist super, wenn man mit mehreren Familien anreist. Die Außenküche ist unheimlich praktisch, die Räume sind sauber und hübsch rustikal eingerichtet. Der Pool ist super, sehr groß und bis 2.5 m tief. Claudia, die Besitzerin, ist sehr, sehr nett und kümmert sich sehr engagiert um jede noch so kleine Anfrage oder Bitte. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen, erholsamen Urlaub und kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schöne Anlage für erholsame Tage oder auch Wochen
Wir fühlten uns bei Claudia sofort sehr willkommen und waren von dem Haus und dem wahnsinnig großen Pool sehr begeistert. Der Garten mit einer Vielzahl an verschiedenen schönen Pflanzen ist großartig. Ein Ort an den man liebend gern zurück denkt und auch zurück kommt!

Das Objekt liegt etwas ausserhalb und ist deshalb sehr ruhig und man ist für sich. Claudia ist eine herzliche und liebe Gastgeberin. Das Bettsofa ist nicht so ideal und ich würde mit nicht mehr als 6 Personen das Haus mieten. Die Schotterstrasse von der Hauptstrasse zu dem Haus ist nicht so gut ausgebaut.
