The Shack at Port Clinton – Welcome!

History:
Matthew Flinders first explored this coastline in 1802. Once an important shipping hub, the area holds rich stories, from its early settlers and jetty days to the nearby historic town of Price, now known for salt mining and classic local buildings.

The Shack - What a gem

Lovely location, very clean and comfortable property. Heating worked very well - heated all the bedrooms. Enjoyed dinner at the local Community & Sports Club.

Beautiful location and very comfortable and tidy property. Located on the water front in best location in town. The town itself is a hidden gem. Stayed with young child and elderly parent, the property was suitable for all of us. Would definitely stay again

Beautiful quiet relaxing place

Perfect beautiful place to stay, very quiet to relax, very friendly, everything there we needed and the kids loved some of the dvds for down time. Nothing like your morning coffee out on the front decking watching the water, wild life beautiful way to start your day. Will definitely be going back again

Hot water is easily used up. For 4 people showers need to be staggered throughout the day and best kept to a 5min max. Found that out the hard way. LolMagnificently clean place. Excellent equipment supply. Fabulous view. Lovely friendly town. Brilliant.

Fantastic Location

Clean and tidy. Very peaceful. The only negatives are a shocking uncomfortable mattress, no wifi and the tv is unreliable. The owners are very responsive.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The location, the cleanliness of the house, friendly neighbours, it was exactly what we all needed. A wonderful time with family. We even caught some fish and went crabbing. Totally awesome and we will definitely be back.

Great Weekend Getaway

Second time staying at this property. An easy drive from Adelaide and we love the position right on the seafront. Pet friendly and easy access to walking trails. Very clean and tidy. Great front lawn for playing games and a stunning view. Will be back!

Place to go to relax

If you want to just relax and watch the sea, this is the place to be. We had a lovely short stay and we feel quite refreshed – I only wished we had booked longer! Our little dog loved the front yard to be able to run around and be safe with the fully fenced yard. Highly recommended.

Awesome place to stay

House and garden was very clean.House had everything one would need,including a bbq.Very homely feel to the place and the view was amazing.So tranquil and peaceful.It was very relaxing sitting on the beautiful wooden patio watching my litlle chihuahua exploring the place,whilst knowing he was safe as both front and back yards are enclosed.Would highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay here again.

Quiet Seaside Shack

Lovely little shack on the beachfront at Port Clinton. Very well stocked with kitchen needs, books and games. We couldn't work the DVD, but didn't need it anyway, as it's a good area to check out the upper Yorke Peninsular from. The Community Club does great meals Wednesday to Saturday nights, but we suggest sticking to the Ozzie meals as their Asian wasn't as good. The fish and chips, schnitzel and steak were great. Overall a very quiet, lovely place to stay. This is our second time here. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful too. Certainly recommend this shack.
