The house was perfect for our family. Everything we needed was supplied. Very clean and modern with lots of coastal touches. My 4 sons loved the dock. Spent hours crabbing & fishing. The hammock chairs were a wonderful bonus. Wish the waters were calmer for kayaking. Water pressure in the house is perfect. When we weren’t on the dock during the daylight hours we were on Dauphin Island at all 3 beaches. Jumping the waves, picking up shells, walking the shores, and climbing rocks were some favorites. Along with the island aquarium, bird sanctuary, and Fort Gaines. Great shopping and food on the island as well. Coffee on the porch watching the sunrise is amazing. Its Feb, so was a tad cool and very windy. The private dock is great. The house could use some improvements (new trash drawer, remove "restroom & employee only" signs (makes it feel like a hotel), kitchen towels/hot pads needed, cozier living room chairs). But that wouldn't stop me from staying again. The hammock chairs are THE BEST spot for naps and reading! I ordered 1 for my home. Kitchen appliances are excellent. Everything you need is there to prepare any meal. The dock and fishing / crab trap equipment are excellent. We enjoyed sitting on the dock in the evenings. The house is laid out well and the owner thought of everything you’ll need on your stay. We really enjoyed our time on the pier early in the morning and late at night. Such a peaceful setting and the unobstructed view of the stars at night was awesome.
