8.6/10 Excellent! (1,824 reviews)
This is a beautiful property and it’s kept very clean. The breakfast and lunch buffets were wonderful, but we were very disappointed in the system used to be able to eat in any of the nice restaurants for dinner. They do not allow you to make reservations unless you are an “elite” member. You have to stand in line because entrance is first come first serve. They only admit approximately 30 people to fill about 15 tables. The next approximately 15 people get pagers to wait on the “second seating”. We waited 2 hours to get into the steak house, where the service was very slow, and the steak we ordered was below par, not worth waiting 2 hours to get in. We also ate at Krystals where again we waited 2 hours to get in, and the red snapper my husband ordered was chewy and not good. We were turned down for dinner at Reminis because they had no availability. The last two nights we were there we took a taxi and ate at restaurants on the island. I would not recommend paying for all-inclusive at RIU Palace Antillas if you are hoping to eat at any of their “fine dining” restaurants. If you are looking for an all-inclusive for an opportunity to eat at nice restaurants with excellent food, you’d be better off staying at a hotel not offering all-inclusive and eating at the local restaurants
