"Set in a fabulous historic building this parador is huge. Very good bar and restaurant. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options for those interested. The staff were very helpful. Our room was massive. Had old people’s home vibes! Could do with updating, especially the bathroom, but the place is so enormous it would cost a fortune. Very nice looking pool, though not in use. Excellent location for exploring the historic part of the town. Overall excellent."
"The hotel is very impressive. What looks like an old castle restored and converted with many of the old features remaining.
Staff very helpful, pets allowing in the bar which was great. Car parking in the grounds and very easy to enter/exit. The hotel sits in a big beautiful square.
Would happily recommend."
"This hotel was great! While the immediate neighborhood is a little worse for wear in some ways, don’t let that put you off. This is a really nice hotel in a really nice little town. If you have time, walk across the stone arched bridge and enjoy the beautiful park on the other side. There are food stores, restaurants and everything you need - and the hotel it itself was great."
"Great hotel, superb kitchen and facilities. The design and all decoration of the facilities is done to a high standard while respecting the old oil mill. The swimming pool and gardens are well looked after. Our room was amazing, huge and comfortable bed and great service.
Only inconvenience it does not allow to flush toilet paper and there is just an ordinary bin to dispose of toilet tissue. Individual plastic bags and regular room service to change them should be in place.
Also, the hotel is not easy to access, there are two tracks to access them and we just found out two days after we arrived that there is a one way system as the tracks are trecherous."
"A really nice relaxing place with a personal check-in. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. There is a very useful communal kitchen shared between the 3 rooms to help yourself to cheese, fruit, bread, tea and coffee. There is a bar that serves food one minute away. Overall highly recommended"
"It is a 1000 year old building, the host treated us wonderfully and we had a great chat in the bar. Much different than all the corporate owned hotels we stayed earlier in the week. There is a thermo springs a few blocks away."
