We were very pleased with our stay at Nomad Yurts. They were accommodating even prior to our arrival. The story: we had only booked one night, but were taking a red eye to arrive at 7:30 in the morning. We asked to add on a second night so we could go right to a room when we arrived. They were very responsive and flexible with making this happen. When we showed up they led us straight to a room.
The accommodations were very cute and comfortable. I was impressed with the a/c and the warm water situations. Also, the staff was welcoming. They provided breakfast and coffee our second day and were flexible with our checkout.
It is a bit further from downtown than I thought (about a 20 - 30 min walk). But tuk-tuks are easy to come by and affordable if you don't want to walk in the heat/humidity.

Disliked: Amenities
We stayed here for 5 nights during our stay in Coron. The rooms were spacious and for the most part clean, though keep in mind that it is a different experience than a traditional hotel. The staff were great and helpful, they do give free water and breakfast, which helped us out a lot.
My only complaint and which is why I knocked down a star was the tour agency that operates in front of the hotel. I think she also does work for Nomad Yurts? She was hounding us to book a tour during our stay. We already had a tour booked on our first day though we did want another tour, so we ended up booking with SunZu tour anyways. The tour agency lady was super nice to us prior to booking, however, once we paid and she got our money, we were completely ignored. No more Hellos or Good Morning once she got our money which rubbed me the wrong way and made me feel like a walking ATM. Upon checking out, I did wave to say Goodbye, but it was like she didn’t notice us. She will be kind to you until you’ve booked and given her money for the tour.
I’d recommend booking a tour online or walk into Town for other tour agencies with better pricing
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Nomad Yurts, and I can confidently say it was great experience.
From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the room. It was spotless and well-maintained, providing a welcoming atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home.
What truly stood out, however, was the hospitality of the owner. They were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Whether it was providing local recommendations or assisting with any requests, their friendly demeanor made a significant difference.
I highly recommend Nomad Yurts to anyone looking for a unique and pleasant getaway. If you're seeking something different from the usual hotel experience, this place is definitely worth a visit.
The room was spotless and very spacious. I love that they have a beach bag available in your room to use on tours and its filled with usable items like water bottles, towel and water shoes. The breakfast was really good and had good otions for everyone. I think what stood out the most was the host on duty Chingy. He was great and remarkably helpful whenever we needed anything. Would HIGHLY recommend this to travelers going to Coron.
We chose Nomad Yurt for a different experience. I am pleased I did that! Both receptionist are accomodating, thoughtful and wonderful ladies. There is travel agency right outside, a bank, hospital, pharmacy, stores, foods for take out, tricycles for hire to the right side and to the left are steps
away to stores and night food court with live music. Location is 5 mins drive from town. You can walk if you are up for it.
There was a storm during our stay so island tours were cancelled. But Nora made sure that the soonest Coast guard gave clearance , she set us up for private tour an
d made the most of the half day tou before
the flight out of Coron. We ended up feeling
awesome on our last day. Our guide
compressed the full day tour into half a day
. Highly recommended place! Also, on our last day, hubby had an ear infection. We just walked across the street to go to the hospital. We got seen by the doctor and out of it wthin 15 minutes. Impressive!
I attached few photos of where we went.
We had a wonderful stay at Nomad Yurts. The host was incredibly friendly and made sure my wife and I had everything we needed throughout our stay.
Breakfast had limited options, but it was delicious and thoughtfully prepared by a food truck in town, which was a really nice touch.
We would also like to give a special thank you to the host for the lovely gesture after we mentioned that this trip was part of our honeymoon and post-wedding adventure. It truly made our stay even more memorable.
We really enjoyed our stay at Nomad Yurts! The accommodation was terrific - each yurt beautifully designed and with all the perfect add-ones (including a great beach bag to use for your days out). Great coffee and good water. We had the opportunity to stay in 2 yurts and both were lovely. Support was also amazing - help with TukTuks to the hot springs, a booked island hopping tour with a discount, and transport to the airport. Everything was seamless.
