The property location and layout is great/ When we checked in there was no soap for the bathrooms, very little toilet paper, only one dishwasher tablet and the deck had not been shoveled. We also found a dirty towel hanging i a closet and a used earplug on one of the floor heaters. We called the property management company, and they promptly came out and shoveled the driveway and put new batteries in the fireplace remote. They brought the missing items the next morning. When we went to cook the next morning, we found that the skillets were old and unusable. The Teflon was worn off and everything stuck to the pans. We had to go to Davis and buy new pans so we could cook. We were fortunate enough to get about 2 feet of snow while we were there. There was no parking other than on the road and the road was never plowed or cleared. My daughter ended up getting stuck with her I and 3-year-old in the car. The bottom line is this was a great location but definitely needs some updating and better attention to detail to make a vacation stress free.
Had a great time with friends. No issues at all! Power did go out and property management was great with communicating about the eta for it coming back on!
It was very close to the slopes which was perfect for our stay. The couch was broken but we were still able to sit on it. The door was also broke upon arrival but they were able to come and fix it immediately. Overall we had a great stay but the house could use a few updates.
We rented 2 houses next to each other to accommodate our family of 27 for Thanksgiving. House worked out great for what we needed. A little disappointed in window blinds. Every single blind in the cabin was broken and looked horrible. But overall it was good.

Family trip
Deck needs work- hot tub leans and felt dangerous. No outdoor space other than deck- directly on road. Have to daily take trash over 3 miles away. Not all stove burners worked properly. A well stocked kitchen for cooking and large groups. Plenty of sleeping areas. Overall a good trip, but will choose something larger with outdoor space for next year.
If you're looking for a convenient, no frills ski in/ski out, this is as good as any. You do have to cross a road and climb a short hill to get to Lower Salamander. If you have champaign taste, this is more of a beer budget place. Some updates are needed. And we had no idea the fireplace was under repair.
The company accidentally had us booked wrong in their system so when we arrived the whole house was dirty. And items from the last group was visible on the couch. I had to call like 20 times to get 1 call back from the lady at the office. The upstairs master bathroom had a broken toilet, and last night out water was cut off and we were unable to shower before leaving.

Dirty
None. Of the TV’s worked. Davis was closed down for the most part. Comforts were filthy. Just uncomfortable enough to make me say I am finished with WV. The people are rude at every encounter except the real estate owner. She was kind, friendly, and helpful. The rest of Davis is nasty, beligerant, basically valueless. Just a rude town.
