Dog-friendly Vintage Dewey Beach Cottage - just 110 steps from beach!

If you are looking for a vintage beach experience with modern amenities, look no further. This is an adorable original Dewey Beach cottage, where you park your car, kick off your shoes, drop your boards on the front porch, and head straight to the beach with your family and dog.

The charming original wood paneled walls will make you want to head to a beach bonfire, yet the well-appointed kitchen (complete with gas stove) will have you hosting a dinner party during your stay.

This cozy little cottage is located just off the beach and a half a block from Coastal Highway in the center of town - all of Dewey and Rehoboth's fabulous restaurants, beach bars, family friendly entertainment, outdoor activities, and nightlife are within walking distance or are just a short bike or Jolly Trolley ride away.

If you've never been to Dewey, you can expect a charming little beach town not much more than two blocks wide and less than a mile long nestled between one of the most pristine beaches on the East Coast and the Rehoboth Bay. Dewey is the most dog-friendly of all the Delaware beaches, with its own Dog Ambassador! Dewey Beach successfully balances a family friendly environment with a somewhat famous and active nightlife and is welcoming to all.

You'll be able to feel the sea air on your face, the salty breeze in your hair, and sneak a peek of the waves before you even leave the Mariners Surfside Cottage complex. Despite the proximity to the greatest rock and roll bar in the world, The Bottle & Cork, as well as the ESPN-darling, The Starboard, you'll be able to enjoy a little peace and quiet tucked into this cute little cottage neighborhood. We hope you will come stay in our cottage by the sea! We look forward to welcoming you.

Guests are responsible for bringing their own sheets, towels, beach towels & chairs. Must adhere to community and condo association rules.

Perfect Beach Side Cottage

The location cannot be beat. Just steps from the beach, it is a perfect cottage, in and out of season, to get away to the beach. The cottage had everything we needed. We especially loved the front porch to take in dinner and drink coffee in the morning. We would definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay at this beach house! The place was spotless – everything was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, which made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The location couldn't have been better – just a short walk to the beach, which made it so easy to enjoy sunrise strolls and sunset views. Communication with the owner was excellent throughout – very responsive, helpful, and friendly. It’s clear they really care about their guests having a great experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beach escape!

Perfect getaway!

We enjoyed staying at Jenni’s cottage! Our dog loved hanging out on the screened porch watching everyone walking by. We found the cottage well kept, comfortable and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Parking was great and location perfect.

Heavenly Little Beach Cottage

I can't rave enough about my stay. Jenni was incredible host - kind, attentive and patient with my many questions. Steps from the beach, the cottage had everything we needed and was close enough to restaurants and bars without being in the middle of the fray. We had a wonderful, peaceful stay and can't wait to return!

Great location and basic lodging

The proximity to the beach is a big highlight for this property. The listing accurately represented the unit, We had good communication with the property manager. The unit is very plain and basic, which was great for our needs. Being Dog friendly sealed the deal. Hopefully, we can make it back here in the future.

Adorable Cottage Steps from Beach

Absolutely loved the cottage! It’s close enough to the beach that you can pop back for lunch or snacks. Everything was very clean and well organized, and the washer/dryer worked great. The screened-in porch is a game changer, you can sit out for hours and not deal with any bugs. We loved our stay, can’t wait to go back!

Couldn’t ask for better stay steps from beach

The cottage was very well located, 1/2 short block from beach and main street with restaurants, night life, but very quiet. Very attractively furnished, comfortable heating/cooling, very well appointed kitchen with all utensils needed. Beds were comfortable, Communication with host Jenni was easy and helpful and we appreciated dog friendliness. Many thoughtful additions (bandaids, phone charger stand, basic cooking supplies, etc. We would be glad to return.

Adorable cottage with excellent location

Excellent location to beach, local restaurants, and less than a 10 min drive to Rehoboth boardwalk. The cottage is small but very functional. The bathroom is a bit snug for managing young children after the beach but is great for adults. The outdoor space is cozy and comfortable. Be aware that during senior week there may be kids renting in this area as I had a run in with some drunk kids and could hear them a bit through the shared wall. Excellent communication from host!

Cute beach cottage in great location

Very well equipped cottage, everything we needed and everything in good condition. The cottage is small but works for a family of 4. We never need it for more than sleeping and some casual meals. Any down time is spent playing games on the screened in porch and where i enjoyed my coffee in the morning - lovely.The beach entrance is just steps away and a small miniature golf course is at the end of the street. Lots of Dewey restaurants within walking distance. Cannot beat this location!

Wonderful gem

You cannot beat the location and all the ease and convenience that comes with it. It is on the beach block- so only steps to the beach. There are two parking spaces- no hassle of finding a parking space. The heart of downtown Dewey is steps away and the Jolly Trolly stop to take you to Rehoboth is as the end of the street. It is a cute bungalow style- and it is small, so don’t plan on cooking elaborate meals in the kitchen- grill out instead! but they do have all the utensils you need. The porch is DIVINE and I spent most of my time there. Even during prime bar hours you cannot hear the noise- it is a quiet refuge! The shower is a bit small and there is no outside shower, but that’s the only drawback. For a small family that wants the convenience of not needing to drive and likes being out and about this is the spot for you. This is my second summer renting and I’m already committed to next summer. Owner is very responsive.
