This was a return trip after our first stay last year. The house fit 12 adults very comfortably. The view of the river is spectacular. Having two large tables we can all gather at for meals was wonderful. The yard is spacious, there is a large fire pit for sitting around the fire, and an easy access sand shoreline for launching a kayak. The host has all the information needed and provides contact numbers. Another year of memories!!

River view was beautiful. Fishing not good, lake & river was great for tubing & boating. Kitchen fully stocked, although needs an empty cabinet for food. Beds and couches were comfortable.

Amazing cabin on the river!

The cabin is massive, with a beautiful wood burning fireplace and the dining room area faces a beautiful river. This place is so relaxing, clean, beautiful and the hosts are 10/10 all the time!

Wonderful Place to Stay!

The house was very clean and organized, had plenty of outdoor fun & games available, and had enough comfortable beds for a group of 15. The area was nice and quiet, and we enjoyed being right on the river. I would happily stay here again!

Great spot for family time

Our group of 12 adults and 2 kids enjoyed this cozy property with spectacular views of the water. We particularly loved the outdoor space with boats, playground, and fire pit. Cell service in the area was poor for most of us, but the Wi-Fi was fantastic. The home is well equipped and had many thoughtful touches that made if feel like we were staying with friends or family. Hosts were lovely and quick to respond.

AMAZING FROM START TO FINISH

What an absolutely wonderful place to stay. We had our son’s rehearsal picnic here and it couldnt have been better. The home has all the amenities listed and then some including extra trash bags. Talking with the owners was super easy and responsiveness was amazing as well!!! Best ever

Extended Family Christmas gathering

Property was well stocked, good location, great communication with hosts and generous with arrival time, and even decorated a bit for Christmas. We had had a variety of ages and family stages and found the bedroom sleeping arrangements a bit challenging, despite having enough beds. Some bedrooms were located though other rooms and made bathrooms difficult to access in the middle of the night without disturbing others. One of our family members wanted noted that they found several "stink bugs" in their room. All other spaces seemed clean and well cared for with plenty of towels and reasonable checkout list. Would stay again if we had different family situation for sleeping options.

Just what we were looking for!

Fantastic stay! The property had a beautiful view of the river and a nice backyard to enjoy, along with many amenities. We cooked all our meals and the kitchen was perfectly stocked, met all our needs. Also nice big tables for all of us to hang out and eat together. It's very nice there's bathrooms on each floor (along with showers). Everything was clean and easy to use. Communication with hosts was fantastic too. Truly would return in a heartbeat!

Memorable College Friends Reunion

The property was as beautiful as the pictures show. Expansive windows to the porch allowed us to see the River all day. Two full size tables gave our group of 13 opportunity to have meal’s together and play games at night. The lawn was ideal for a “bags” tournament. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. An easy sanding launch for a kayak/canoe. Communication with Elyse was top-notch. Very helpful, quick to response and really wanted our experience to be special. We are already planning a return next year. You wouldn’t be disappointed renting this place.

Relaxing Getaway

Our entire stay was glorious. The owners were extremely responsive when we had an issue. The pool was set up and ready for us to use. The playground for the kids was perfect. This house made a family reunion possible - we hadn’t all been together in 20ish years :) A few complaints would be: no sharp knives in the kitchen, fly traps are needed(I ordered some from amazon and it solved the problem), the wifi info we are emailed is different than what is posted in the house, very old basic spices etc in the kitchen and the outside patio could use some cleaning out(broken toys, old boxes, a bucket of water). Overall, you want to stay here!

Everything you could want

Our extended family stayed with 8 adults and 3 kids. We found the house to be perfect for what we needed. The kitchen was stocked with just about everything you could think of and the two large dining tables were much appreciated. There were more than enough beds for everyone to find a place they liked. We used the BBQ grill, the pool, playground, canoe, backyard games, you name it! There was bug spray and sunscreen available. The kids enjoyed the selection of board and card games. Overall, this place had so many comforts of home, that we had a pretty happy and peaceful stay!

Ladies weekend getaway!

The property was perfect for our large group of 14 women. There was plenty of space for all of us to visit together and lots of spaces for small group visiting as well. There were a lot of amenities, games, books, yard games. We had a nice fire one night. We were here in early November but I could see it being an excellent place for large family gatherings in the summer when you could use the boats and beach area more. It was a great place for us to do some great shopping and crafting. We really enjoyed the nearby winery and several really great restaurants,too!

Family Trip

This property was exactly what you want out of a large family weekend getaway. Plenty of beds across the 6 bedrooms, a large stocked kitchen, 2 massive dining tables so everyone can eat together, and a huge yard to enjoy games of all types. The provided canoe & rowboat were a great complement to some of the PWC our group brought with to enjoy the waterfront. The river was very high for the weekend so the sandy shoreline was unusable but the dock is floating so functional no matter conditions when you come. Close enough to Edgerton for a grocery run or heading over to the lake, but far enough away and the property is so large, you forget there are even neighbors.Nights are quiet and the provided firepit area got used multiple times. 10/10 experience, will rent again if visiting the area in future years.

Amazing view and more

We had a great experience staying in this home! Beautiful view on the water. Home was filled with amenities for the youngest of our group (6 months) and everyone else as well! AC in the home worked SOOOO well !! kitchen was fully equipped, rooms had everything we need as well as the bathrooms. it even had spare toothbrushes for us . warning the driveway is a little steep for anyone that is inexperienced as a driver. local stores were a short drive away, local farmers market had great goodies

Family trip

Large home with plenty of room for my big family. Unfortunate that the river was so high so we couldn't rent a pontoon. Driveway was super steep so beware if you have a new driver. The host was warm and friendly. It was a hot weekend but all the rooms in the house were nice and cool. Close location to town which was very helpful. Beach area unavailable due to the river but we still fished and caught several catfish. A very nice home and we had a lovely family get together with my eight kids and three grandkids. The pool in the yard was a life saver for the smaller family members in our group.

On the River

The house, furnishings, entertainment equipment and kitchen were very nice. We had a family reunion of 12 people and all slept well. Spent one day in Madison 1/2 hour away for football game. I perhaps misread the listing because I thought there was one price regardless of the number of people. However when I increased from 10 to 12 there was an additional charge. In any case the house was well worth the money. The location and setting of the house are beautiful. Local dining is limited but good if you wish a break from home cooking every night.

Our stay at this VRBO rental was nothing short of magical! things to know

We had plenty of space for family members to sleep and great dining space plus great basement games for kids to play. But there are some things you need to know: pictures of property showed a sandy beach but there is no beach area due to a retaining wall expanding the property at the river. The current is too strong to let children play in the river. We rented a pontoon boat from a company recommended by the owners but that company was 1.5 hours away and had no idea that the pontoon boat would not fit under the bridge that was between the boat launch and our rental property so we could not have a pontoon boat for our vacation. Also, no bedroom dressers, no closet in the main bedroom so storage was an issue for our week's stay. Be aware that the second floor bathroom is located between two bedrooms and is not accessible to the other bedrooms on that floor. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and quick to respond to questions.
