"The hotel made sure to mention that English was available and the staff spoke it, but I only met one person who spoke English when I was checking out. That being said, I didn’t have too much trouble communicating. The view from the balcony is amazing and a 12/10. The hotel definitely seemed older than they let on with the pictures but otherwise a clean bed and towels. My issue is that the air conditioner did not work and two of the three lights in the room did not function. Difficult to shower...

"Hotel Camburi Praia is a very basic hotel in a small, country village 2hrs south-west of Sao Paulo along the coast. I stayed there for a work engagement. Camburi village is a typical of the area; rustic, weather-beaten, but welcoming enough. You should have some basic knowledge of portuguese though to get by. Hotel Camburi Praia is just off the main street running through the village and about 150m from the beach. It's a very basic hotel (my room 34 was a bit dated, but comfortable enough)....

"The bed is very comfortable and the shower is really good. The breakfast is great with a big variety of fruits and pastries. The room is spacious and the hotel is well located. My only reason for not giving a 5 star is that we celebrated our anniversary there and different than all the hotels we chose to celebrate the date in the past they didn’t offer anything to make it special. "Travelled with 2 adults and 2 kids. Got a double room. Lots of space, beautiful pool. Excellent chef! Unfortunately there was an issue with the plumbing and our toilet flooded twice. The hotel asks you to put your used toilet paper in the garbage -while gross this apparently is standard in Brazil. We did that the whole time yet it still flooded. Which was gross. The hotel was really good about it and moved us to another room but it was a major inconvenience. "
