Feuerkogel Ski Resort is located on Lake Traun in the Salzkammergut. Its mild elevation of between 1,453 feet (443 meters) and 5,331 feet (1,625 meters) adds to its appeal as a family destination. The closest town is Ebensee and there are public transportation links, including a train service, during the winter ski season. You can also ride the free Traunsee Winter Shuttle, which goes between Gmunden at the northern end of the lake and Feuerkogel.
