"It is a 1000 year old building, the host treated us wonderfully and we had a great chat in the bar. Much different than all the corporate owned hotels we stayed earlier in the week. There is a thermo springs a few blocks away."

"Beautiful cottage, very clean, big enough for 2 people, c/w pull-out sofabed if required. Walking distance to local town \~15mins, all uphill. You have to drive to Monsanto though, another 10 mins away. The driveway to this cottage is very, very narrow - you can only drive 1 vehicle at a time, not for the inexperienced nor faint of heart. It is NOT a one-way system either, beware."

"We chose this for an overnight stop, with our pet furry friend, on our way from Santander to Portuguese Silver Coast. Pet friendly and self-catering appealed to us. The communication and the welcome to the lovely property, from Sandra, was exceptional. She went out of her way to show us the accommodation and walk us through the pretty village to the local restaurant, telling us a little about the place as we went. The property is immaculate and very cosy with everything you need for a short stay. We would have happily stayed longer and will certainly visit again. The staff at the restaurant were lovely too and the food was excellent and worth the little extra we paid. It's not the cheapest Portuguese restaurant but quite a surprising find in such a small village. We can recommend the steak and the bacalhau. We were very happy with our stay and will return there on our homeward journey. Thank you for the kindness and the welcome we received. "
