“As my wife injured her knee two days before arriving the Punga Grove, I asked the receptionist whether it was possible to re-assign a ground floor room for us. it was a negative reply at first. However, I believed the manager intervened and arranged a ground floor room for our two nights stay. ”

“Within easy walking distance of town. Beds were comfortable and heaters in the house worked well but the bathroom was not heated and was very cold. Living area/kitchen cramped and settees very uncomfortable. House would be better with bathroom divided into two shower rooms/toilets and only two bedrooms with third bedroom made into additional living space.”

“We enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable and warm. We were pleasantly surprised to see a bit of the glacier from one of the bedroom windows on a clear day. Close to restaurants and other touristy things. The host was very accomodating of our requests :)”

“Friendly staff, well-equipped room with kitchen equipment and shampoo and conditioner provided. Stable wifi. The Fran Josef glacier hot pools is around a 3 minutes walk with lots of restaurants nearby. The bathroom heating lamp is great, and makes a big difference on a cold day. It's also nice that the reception has DVDs to borrow that you can watch in your room.”

“It is so expensive that I paid almost NZD 350 without breakfast to get a room just like a normal motel.”

“住的是雙人房房型，所以安排在另一棟。去過背包客棧那邊看過一下，那邊感覺設施比較舊一點。 住宿提供的wifi穩，熱水水壓都很穩。 地段也不錯，在yha的對面，坐公共交通很方便。去餐廳，超市走路都是數分鐘而已。 早餐跟一般背包客棧，都是提供簡單的麵包配果醬，玉米片牛奶這樣。 綜觀是比一般的背包客棧好，浴室廁所都很乾淨。 唯一美中不足是hot pool in maintenance ，沒有機會用到hot pool。”

“Fantastic location, great accomodations and great atmosphere”

“We lived in a room with shared bathroom but as it was near the entrance and kitchen and many people can use the toilet, it was very dirty (there was pee on floor). Our room is dirty too and the carpet had bad smell. We could not sleep well because cars were parked outside our room and false fire alarm went off at mid night. Good location, just 5-10 mins walk to shops. Free and nice breakfast. ”
