Booked a room with 2 queen beds since I’m traveling with my wife and daughter, as specified during booking. Pre paid as well in full.
Arrived at the hotel, checked in, got to our room where we found it was just a single king bed. Assumed positively that there was just a mistake so headed back down to adjust. When speaking with front desk about having the incorrect room, the same staff member that checked us informed me “we over booked and sold out” yet this was not shared at any point til now. Feel that such information should have been communicated when originally checking in.
Communicated how our family needs two beds and was displeased with lack of communication and was open minded for solutions. Was offered a different but bigger single king room, two separate rooms on opposite sides of the floor (my daughter is 6), and lastly more blankets so she could sleep on the floor.
No true apology or validation of inconvenience.
Frequent front royal area every other month and always book here, impacted to not moving forward.
Room quality is great, pool area is great, no other issues.
