“Eric’s house was exactly what we needed - a much needed escape into the countryside where all we heard at night was the sound of the frogs. The house is set away from the main road, and perfect spot for our dog to run around. Plenty of sleeping space, and relaxing living areas. We would book again next time we’re in town! ”

“Firefly Falls is simply wonderful!The Retreat is so spacious, beautifully decorated and filled with so many amenities-everything is very thoughtful and made us feel completely at home! The setting, property and especially the sound of the creek will have you relaxed in no time! Only about 17mins from Colgate University and close to so many restaurants and sights. “This was the perfect property and location for our annual "girls" weekend (three of us all over the age of 55). This is such a lovely area, especially for someone who loves nature and wants an opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet. The house is beautiful, decorated with a plethora of African art. “This property was charming and looked like the description. There were only 2 of us but I could see how it would work for a maximum of 4 people. The kitchen opens up to the living room and is fully stocked. The outside property is spacious and the fire pit was an added bonus. It's right outside of Hamilton, NY which is a cute town and host to Colgate University. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling through Upstate. It has a relaxing vibe and is a comfortable place to chill.”

“I lived on the west shore for 15 years before 2000. I knew the magic of the lake in Spring, before the schools were out and the motorboats roared past. The road was narrow and crowded, and summer folk found their camps again. Friends found peace and quiet away from the city of Syracuse. Quilting was done, and meals could have been obtained in the town.”

“Residence was perfectly located for visiting family over Christmas. It is a charming home, very clean, very warm and met our needs exceptionally well. The entrance was well lit for locating during our evening arrival. To our surprise, the driveway was plowed every night during our 5 night stay making for easy access during our travels. The yard was as advertised, safe, secure and worked perfectly for our dog. It even had a hot tub!”

“We needed a spot to attend a family memorial in the area. This house was a perfect selection. The weather was a little too wet and chilly to take advantage of the lake fully, unfortunately! But we couldn’t have asked for more with the house and the ease of stay. We appreciated every little touch! ”

“A lovely spot by Colgate and next to a reservoir! Saw loons and other wildlife. Had some issues with the cleanliness of the place upon arrival and had to go get some supplies that were not available. With some care and attention, this will be a lovely weekend getaway.”

“Isolated and quiet area (as long as you don't mind farm equipment). Very comfortable and welcoming property - great communication with property manager about any issues that arouse and any questions we had. We even used the grill out back! Would definitely stay here again.”

“We stayed at this lovely Lake Moraine lake house for our 35th Colgate reunion this year. The house was tidy and perfect for our group of friends to stay together close to campus but in our own space right on the lake. We swam in the lake, enjoyed the outside spaces when the weather was nice, cooked meals in the kitchen, that had everything we needed and slept well in comfortable beds. The place was perfect for our trip and we'll try to get it again for our next reunion in 5 years. Highly……
