"The lady who owns the motel was very nice. The rooms were well maintained, but quite small. If I had any complaint, it would be only that I had nowhere to sit, while eating dinner in my room. I had to eat standing up. But, all in all, I give the place good marks."

"This spot easily ranks as one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. The room was spotless and featured clever, creative touches like mason jar light fixtures. There were plates, bowls & silverware in the room. It was peaceful both inside and out, offering total silence from neighboring rooms. The property featured multiple well-equipped campfire and outdoor cooking areas complete with seating, firewood & grilling tools, plus lawn games like cornhole and ladder ball. Nestled in a quiet area surrounded by trees that made it feel remote. I would definitely stay again given the opportunity."

"This is a great location right on the river. We launched our kayaks from here and paddled to City Park. It was about 6 river miles and 3 hours. The home is recently redone, everything is clean and comfortable. The only downside is that the Military Base was very active during our stay and low flying helicopters crossed over head 5-6 times per day, including one at 3:30am."

"The property was great for our group and we loved looking at the old photo of the house and learning about the history of the building and the dam. The sound of the river, the picturesque views from the house, and the proximity to the water for swimming were just what we wanted.Somer was very responsive whenever we had questions."

"The cottage is a great location and comfortable. We could easily get to Grayling, Gaylord, Hartwick Pines and Higgins Lake. We could easily make meals and enjoy TV in the evenings. The neighborhood was quiet. We would stay here again if in the area."
