Follow the Apple Pie Trail, a self-guided culinary trek through fruit-growing areas with 28 points of interest along the way. The all-season attraction travels through towns and orchards highlighting restaurants, cideries, museums, markets and more.
Go underground on a cave trail to explore geological formations on the Niagara Escarpment. Bruce’s Caves Conservation Area includes underground caverns formed up to 8,000 years ago by a post-glacial lake while the Collingwood Scenic Caves is located in one of Canada’s UNESCO sites.
The county’s urban center, Owen Sound, has Tom Thomson Art Gallery, named after a landscape artist who was an influence on the renowned Group of Seven artists. Visit a vintage railway station that doubles as a visitor information bureau and heritage center.
