Excellent location, near Monteverde and Santa Elena National Parks. We walked to the downtown area and enjoyed coffee at a local Cafe Monteverde for coffee, lots of shopping, and the guided tour of the Orchid Garden. The breakfast was delicious and the view overlooking the cloud forest was breathtaking! Diego gave us excellent recommendations for spending our time……

“Our stay at Cala Lodge was an absolute delight! What a very special place Francisco and family have created! We loved staying in the Mathilda House. It was perfect for our family of 5, ages 14-82, nestled in the cloud forest with floor to ceiling windows. It was incredible to see wildlife pass by, we felt lucky to be guests in their well-loved and protected forest. We had dreams and conversations with the howler monkeys throughout the night, and agoutis, coatis and diverse birds were easily seen……

“What a treat! We loved staying at Finca Sunset! Our bungalow was absolutely perfect, cozy and romantic. The sunset views were a stunning end to every evening and the clouds rolling over the hills during the day were spectacular. The finca is close to town yet far enough away for privacy and a quiet environment. Toucans, hummingbirds and butterflies were an added bonus. The property was quiet, safe, clean, and every detail had been perfectly crafted. We’d definitely stay here again.”
