"The manager on duty was in a hurry to go back to to watching his rugby match on arrival. On departure he seemed even more disinterested and could not be bothered to direct me to the restuarant for breakfast. At breakfast found weevils in the cereal. The only redeeming quality of the service at the place was the Bar-keep and the Chef who cooked dinner as well as the cleanliness of the room. "

We arrived in the early evening to find a welcome fire/bbq already lit...such a kind gesture! Annie was on-hand to give details of road closures, shopping advice; general comfort chats. The surrounding garden was a delight for bird-lovers; attention to detail in the accommodation perfect combination of lowkey and luxury."

"The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nixon the lodge manager assisted us in taking our luggage to the room. All of the lodges are connected by a wooden walkway in the bush. The rooms were very nice and recently renovated. There is a great viewing deck where you can view the wild life. We saw 6 giraffes and several impalas the morning we were checking out which was exciting!! I would definitely recommend the Panzi Lodge to others! "

"The family and staff who run this hotel are friendly, hard-working multi-taskers. They gave good advice and didn't try to sell us anything extra. About the only complaint we had was the fact that no one told us the gate was not electronic. The unit was spacious and clean. Our meals were cafeteria-style with a good selection. It would have been nice to have a heater in the bedroom. The wildlife (springbok, warthogs, etc.) roaming around the grounds was a nice intro to the game reserve."
