"Wonderful place to stay for a true Japanese experience. The location in town is close to all major sites, but also very quiet. We had an added surprise of being able to watch fireworks from a unique place, known to locals (with the owner’s help)! The sashimi was amazing as was the breakfast. Just before leaving, we had a family crisis that required a change of plans. They were very helpful, which was both comforting and calming."

The most exceptional things about the hotel are the staff and the cleanliness of this traditional type of accommodation. The onset was a nice bonus in a very economical room central to everything on the island. "

"Fantastic location in the heart of Miyajima village. Just know that it's a bit of a walk from the ferry terminal, and part of the path is gravel, so might be a bit rough if you have rolling luggage. On check-out, they offered to drive us to the terminal, which was very welcomed. The hotel was fantastic. "
