"My family, along with our golden retrievers enjoyed our stay at the Sunken Lake cottage. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and you can see the lake from the kitchen, living room and one of the bedrooms. It is immaculately clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The Internet works great. We had a colleague who had to take a few meetings and she had no issues. There is a beautiful outdoor patio, barbecue grill, a nice fire pit stocked with wood, a paddle boat, canoe and plenty of kayaks to use. The owner and property manager promptly answered any questions we had.It was peaceful and very relaxing and we enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon. "

"We found the home spacious, clean, and well equipped. Bedrooms/beds worked well for our group of ten. The deck and the lake front (table and fireside seating) were great places to gather with beautiful views. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this property to others."

"Our stay was wonderful! The house was perfect for my family. It was very clean and well stocked, including many extra touches. The location was ideal - only 3-5 minute drive from downtown Alpena’s attractions and 3 minutes from the beach. The host was responsive and wonderful to work with. The check in and out process was seamless. We would definitely stay again if we come back to Alpena! "

"We had a great time at staying in the cottage in alpena. We came with our 3 year old and had a nice time exploring the city. The house is outside where most of the main attractions in but only a 15 minute drive. We went to the dinosaur park, Connie’s cafe, the old and new light house, the thunder harbor museum and shipwreck tours! There is not air conditioning there so a fan is a great idea to bring. I was a little unsure from the listing if the water was accessible from the cottage, there’s a smalll spot down the road that would be good for paddle board entry but not beach access for swimming. There weren’t instructions for check in and check out but Amy was so communicative throughout to help through the process. "
