“The staff, especially Reception and a young blonde-haired lady who had only been there about 3 weeks were exceptional.
Having the bar & the restaurant on the top floor is a bit odd, but it is comfortable.
The food in the restaurant was very poor as was the quality of the wine. The gentleman acting as Maitre was brusque, untidy and unwelcoming. We booked our table for 7 and were prompt. But he wanted us to have courses in rapid succession. When we asked for a pause his response was that it was……

“The room was very comfortable and clean. The corridors could have been cleaner as there were bottles and other rubbish from guests rooms on the windowsills. In the evening my room was near the back of the hotel and there was a very loud noise which sounded like a washing machine or tumble dryer being on. Fortunately, this noise stopped at around 10pm and then started again in the morning.
Breakfast was nice although the staff started to clear away some of the options offered for the buffet……
