We stayed in this comfortable house with our children to celebrate Thanksgiving all together. The kitchen was very well stocked and the couch very comfortable. We loved the fireplace. The beds were very comfortable. Would definitely go back. Owner was responsive and helpful.
Beautiful and comfortable house in a beautiful setting. We had a wonderful visit. Caroline made it very easy and sent perfect suggestions about the area!
We spent a cold winter weekend there and the house was warm and cozy. Very nice inside.
It was great to be able to play ping- pong and “futbolin”
The location is perfect to explore all the parks, trails and tows in the area.
This property was very nice and had everything we needed, even backgammon boards! Lots of books and games and a ping pong table downstairs. The kitchen had everything! Towels were great and so was water pressure.
The beds were very comfortable.
We just spent a rainy weekend here, but despite the weather had a great time at this house. Layout is great, nicely stocked with paper towels, TP, shampoo, soap, etc. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace both nights. Location is perfect for hiking at Minnewaska and an easy drive to New Paltz or other towns for dinner or other supplies. We all wished we could have stayed longer and hope to return when the weather is nicer!
We were an extended family with a wedding happening just over a mile away. It could not have been more clean, convenient and pleasant. I only wish we could have taken advantage of more local hikes!
We stayed for a weekend to visit with family and had a great time. The house feels like you're staying in a treehouse with beautiful views of the property through all the windows. The fireplace in the spacious living area was cozy on a rainy day and the kitchen was stocked with tools to make some tasty meals. The beds were also super comfortable and it was peaceful outside at night. Caroline sent a ton of recommendations for things to do in the area which was really thoughtful. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway.
The house had nice appointments, we enjoyed a fire in the fireplace and we got to watch a doe and her fawns approach close to the house several times. Comfortable, clean, and the communication from the owner we detailed and helpful. I would highly recommend!
We loved the house and the location! We stayed for 3 nights visiting our daughter at SUNY New Paltz. The house is clean and spacious, with beautiful yard in a quiet area. One word of advice if you bring a dog - there are multiple deer who come right to the yard early mornings and at night, so my advice to leash your dog to be safe!
The house is only 15 min away from the beautiful Minnewaska Preserve, Mohonk trailhead and other hiking trails! We had a great time hiking and would love to book this property again!
This is a great house. It was clean and very spacious. Traveled with my 2 sons and small dog. Everyone had plenty of space. The kitchen was very well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. House is tucked away in nature and we loved it. Will definitely be back hopefully in the fall as I imagine the views from the home will be spectacular.
This roomy house is the best of both worlds: in a locale so quiet and woodsy, yet so close to great activities, restaurants, stores, and more. This was our third time staying at the house and we had just as much fun as our first two visits. The ping-pong table and foosball table provided a lot of fun, especially since the weather kept us indoors a bit.We enjoyed the local restaurants, especially The Roost, Hash, Ollie's, and Spy. And when we ate at the house, the kitchen was well stocked with with all the appliances and tools necessary to make a great meal--with a lovely dining room in which to enjoy it. One other big plus: The television was extremely easy to use and offered a wide variety of streaming services.
My family truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. I felt the pictures did not represent the spaciousness of the house. The living room has high ceilings and many large wonderful windows to look out into the large yard/trees. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms also a nice size with lovely views of the nature outside. The kitchen had every pot and utensil, as we spent a lot of time cooking over Thanksgiving weekend. The basement has pingpong and other games. Lots of legos if you have little ones. The host provided an extensive list of local hikes, restaurants and activities. I truly want to return and experience it in the spring as well. Thank you Caroline!
My cousins and I stayed at Caroline's property for 3 days to celebrate New Years and it was amazing! The home was absolutely gorgeous, with high ceilings, and came equipped with everything. We cooked all our meals so it was nice that the kitchen had a bunch of pans and utensils. We also took advantage of the board games available and the ping pong table in the basement.
The house is located in a pretty good area and is a 7ish min drive to the Mohonk Preserve where we hiked and a 20-30 min drive to New Paltz. It was nice to be surrounded by trees and immerse ourselves in nature.
Caroline was also an incredibly sweet host. Prior to our arrival, she sent us a detailed email containing check-in information and a list of recommendations for grocery stores, restaurants, hikes, etc. She always responded promptly to messages and was very welcoming. Would highly recommend staying here!
The location is fantastic - there are lots of things to do and see in this area. The house itself is on a large wooded lot in a very quiet neighborhood. It has been remodeled recently and is in excellent shape.
This home was exactly as shown on VRBO. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The house is spotless and equipped with all that is needed for cooking. This home feels private but also very close to restaurants and food stores. The owner was responsive and available. We loved this home and hope to return in the future.
Perfect modern hideaway in the woods. Home is kept very pristine. Host is very friendly and prompt to reply to any questions. The location is central to many activities or points of interests.
