Could not have found a more Perfect Place!

The location was wonderful! Views of the sound and ocean! Easy and breathtaking walk to both for sunrise and sunset. Loved the porch furniture. What a relaxing place to sit at the end of the day. Everything was provided on the inside and more! I sure hope to be able to return someday soon!

So Peaceful

We stayed at Compass Rose in March 2024. There is a very short walk to the beach and the sound. We walked around the point of the island everyday. The kitchen is well stocked and even a little cooler available to take with you to the beach. Our kids enjoyed the bluetooth speakers in the bathrooms.

Clean, comfortable, and cozy home just steps from the beach!

We just had a wonderful weekend on Topsoil and a big part of that was how much we enjoyed staying in this home. The layout is excellent for spending time together and having alone time. The kitchen is well appointed for making whatever you like, and you can sit inside or outside to enjoy it. The bedrooms are comfortable and the three full bathrooms perfect for everyone who you bring with you. Before we left we were already talking about doing it again next year.

Beautiful beach home

Compass rose was a wonderful house. Beautifully decorated and updated. The most stocked house I've ever stayed in. We loved the nice touches of having extra garbage bags, dish soap and laundry detergent. Awesome deck and great furniture on it with a clear shot of the ocean. Spacious stilt level with covered parking for ouf golf cart. Easy access to the ocean and sound beaches. Would love to stay there again!

Wow!

We rented this place for Thanksgiving, so I was looking for a well-equipped kitchen. We got it! I've been renting beach houses for decades, but I don't remember ever seeing a kitchen this complete. The house itself was immaculate and completely updated, but it still felt "homey" and welcoming. Decor is simple and beautiful. Easy beach access just down the street, quiet neighborhood, ample parking in the driveway. Beach is clean and spacious, with a beautiful walk down the island and around to the sound. What else could we possibly want? I simply can't say enough about this place. 100% positive experience!

Lovely place

We had an excellent experience with the company. The beach house was in a awesome location. We had the beach on one side, the sound on the other both in walking distance ideal with having kids. The house was very clean, fully equipped with cooking items, towels, bath room items, etc. I will be back to stay at this house again. 10 out of 10 for us.

Beautiful and peaceful house, but check carefully if you have reduced mobility The property itself is beautiful, spacious, well-laid-out, and has a great porch. The kitchen is fully equipped and the surroundings are very quiet, ideal for absolute silence. I plan to return to the island, but to a property closer to downtown and with better beach access; luckily, there are many rental options.In my case, some factors affected my stay, though they might not bother others. It looked directly on the sand in photos, but access requires crossing high dunes. As a person with a disability, this made walking very difficult, and the accessible ramp was far away. The other nearby access is public, but the water was dark and used for fishing, making it impossible to swim. The location requires patience: it is 9 miles from downtown via a 25-35 mph road full of cyclists, taking 30 minutes. There are many ice cream shops but few restaurants.Inside, you must be barefoot; only the main floor has hard flooring and the rest is carpet, which is inconvenient for the beach. Upon arrival, we were notified about a slimy water texture and insects; we bought Raid as a precaution for small cockroaches. Lastly, depending on your stay, shop before arriving: bring paper towels, detergents, seasonings, water, trash bags, and daily essentials. It is a beautiful place, but check these points if you have reduced mobility. The space here to write is reduced.
