"When we first got there it was a bit mixed up, a nightmare, but that was down yo me. The lady was very understanding and helpful, it was as if nothing was yo much trouble, friendly staff. "The hotel is charming and in an excellent location for exploring Shrewsbury. The room was very comfortable. As the hotel is in a very old building you need to be aware of steps and slopes in the floor and the stairs are quite steep (no lift). The bar is good, and the food we had at both dinner and breakfast was of a very high quality. The hotel has a small car park, with quite a narrow entrance. We were fine getting in, but, in any case there is plenty of reasonably priced parking not far away. The hotel is close to the river and we would also recommend visiting the prison! The staff were friendly and helpful."

"The staff were cheerful, and helpful. The bedrooms were clean, comfy, with large T.V. Modern ensuite bathroom with choice of bath or shower, AND quality toilet paper. If I was being picky, the only thing thing the bedroom lacked was a fridge and a lift to the 2nd floor. The hotel is also dog friendly and allowed in the bar area if you want food. The hotel carpark, was also operated by a barrier which gave piece of mind. I would definitely use the hotel again if stopping in the area."
