Cabin 1 at Cedar Key - Perfect lakefront getaway!

'Cruising Altitude' is a peaceful waterfront cabin on no-wake cove. Perfect for swimming, floating, kayaking, canoeing. Dog friendly!

Beautiful and relaxing setting with a spectacular view. High speed internet for remote working.

Safe, quiet cove is ideal for water activities. The main channel is short boat ride away for high-speed fun. Last in the row of 10 identical cabins. Peaceful and beautiful year round. Quiet and cozy in winter, brilliant green spring foliage and vibrant fall colors.

Dock is shared the dock with neighbors in Cabin 2 (if occupied).

Kayaks or canoes are not available at the property and there is no boat ramp, but Mitchell's Marina has rentals and ramp, about 10 min drive away.

-GUESTS MUST BRING LINENS (sheets, bath towels, band towels, washcloths, dish towels, etc.) They are not provided.
-Guests must remove own trash; directions for recycling and trash site are posted and are 5 min drive away.
-I ask guests to tidy up to a reasonable amount upon leaving. Please wash dishes and stow them. A vacuum is available for excessive pet hair or messes.
-$10 fee for each trash bag left behind (housekeeping charges for trips to local refuse site), $10 fee per room where “above and beyond” cleanup is required.

Weekend getaway

Excellent location with splendid lake views. Deck overlooks a quiet branch of the lake. Great place to walk and enjoyed watching the deer from the deck in the morning. Would definitely return.

This little cabin was just what we needed! It’s in a quiet cove and the last cabin on the road so traffic was not an issue. Definitely plan on coming back, hopefully sooner than later.

This place was great. We had a nice, quiet stay. The lake was beautiful and it was perfect way to forget about the rest of the world and just sit and watch the water.

Very quite and peaceful property overlooking the lake. We were in town for Liberty University graduation. The drive to Lynchburg was well worth it considering the crazy expensive hotel rates in Lynchburg over that time. We were rewarded with beautiful scenery and accommodations for the decision to make the daily drive. I would highly recommend this host.

Great water and fun time!

Cruising Altitude is such a nice property! It’s on one of the few no-wake coves at SML, which makes it a really nice place for swimming, fishing, paddleboarding, and launching your boat. The cabin worked out well for our family of four and we really appreciated that it was a dog-friendly property!

Lovely and Quiet

This area is simply the best. This cabin is one of maybe a dozen in a small community of cabins. The views are awesome and this cabin is all by itself on one side for extra privacy. No complaints at all! The owner even left a few extra treats (for adults too) which was really kind. Would love to stay again.

We stayed in cabin 1. It was unbelievably beautiful experience- the cabin, the nature, environment, everything was excellent! The cabin was very clean, the kitchen was fully equipped to cook your own food. We left our heart down there, and will be back soon!

Beautiful views, quiet, and quaint.

Very relaxing, we chose to eat in since it is not close to any restaurants. Stove needs replaced, pots and pans needed washed before using, rugs needs cleaned or replaced, blinds need dusted, and ceiling logs were dusty, light bulbs need replaced, twin beds uncomfortable for adults and deck umbrella needs relaced. These are our suggestions we have for a future stay.

Heaven on water

First and foremost, the location is perfect. This is where you want to be if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Technology, and road noise. We rented a boat, and the boat dock was just fine. The boat provides all the creature comforts. I would suggest having a bathroom carpet, and/or bath mat. The floor gets very slippery. We intend to come back next summer as well, hopefully it'll be available.

Great Family Getaway Spot

We booked this cabin for a long weekend getaway for our family of 4 plus our 2 labs. The cabin was just what we were looking for! It was a quiet, peaceful spot for us to enjoy nature with tv and great wifi for our evenings inside. We brought food with us which was good b/c we found there were not many restaurant options within a short drive at the time of year we visited. The kitchen was well equipped to cook up our meals. The bed were comfy and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets. The huge deck was perfect for enjoying the view, drinking your morning coffee, reading and soaking up some sun. Our family spent a lot of time on the dock fishing and watching the dog swim to her hearts content. We will definitely be back in a warmer month to enjoy the water!
