“Das Haus ist wunderschön, eine ehemalige Schmiede. Der Frühstücksraum ist auch Restaurant am Abend und wirklich beeindruckend. Das Zimmer war groß und passend zum alten Gemäuer eingerichtet. Leider keine Klimaanlage dafür ein Ventilator. Unser Hund konnte mit zum Frühstück und auch abends ins Restaurant. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.”

“Tomo muy limpio. Habitación silenciosa Cama y almohadas muy cómodas. El aire acondicionado funciona a la perfección. El acceso, mediante código, muy práctico. Las instrucciones de acceso precisas.”

“Absolutely wonderful stay! My fear when I stay in the area is always humidity/musty rooms… but in Ixua there’s no sign of anything less than pristine. It all looks, feels and is clean. The rooms are extremely comfortable. The views are well… worth everything. The food and service absolutely amazing. Thank you Roberto and Munya.”

“Una auténtica vergüenza. Sin aire acondicionado, telarañas por la habitación, sin tirador de la persiana con lo cual no podías subir la persiana, calor durante la noche. Y aunque pudieras subir la persiana, podrían poner al menos una mosquitera o se te mete, como se me metió, toda la fauna del lugar. A las 3:00 am me tuve que marchar para buscar otro hotel. No volveré jamás.”

“We planned to stay for only 1 night - but after the warm reception and the incredible meal we decided to stay an extra night. The building has been tastefully renovated - keeping its 400 year old charm while offering rhe modern comforts of stong water pressure, air conditioner and a lift! Definitely not a given even in 4 star accomodation in some of these smaller towns. The hotel owners make you feel like family - so lovely and hospitable. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a quality,……

“The location”

“A beautifully reformed historic building dating back to the late 1700s. Reyes the owner has done a tasteful makeover with modern bathroom on site parking, generous kitchen amenities and a helpful and friendly welcome to her guests. Enhorabuena- congratulations Reyes. We'd love to visit if passing again and 1 hour to Bilbao port is a bonus for certain travellers.”

“This place i think is mostly for university students living away frim home. The rooms have everything one needs, ecm en a small kitchen with stovetop fridge and microwave. A wardibe with room to hang dresses not just a short one. A desk and co fy bed. And a tv i never used. A nice size bathroom with a great shower. Paid parking inside a locked gate and only nine or 10 minutes from the old Center. I loved it here.”

“Yo fui con 4 niños y se han dado la divertida de su vida. De todo el viaje a Europa, es lo que mas les ha gustado. Eneko nos ha explicado lo que es ser pastor y el proceso del queso Idiazabal con detalle y detenimiento. Producen el mejor queso idiazabal que hemos probado en un proceso 100% artesanal. Es un Baserri que lleva en la familia Goiburu 200 años. Ha sido una experiencia inolvidable que sin duda repetiremos!”
