It is perfect for a quiet, secluded get-away from the city. You can go hiking over the hills, fish down on the pond or just relax in the hammock. All kinds of native and exotic Texas wildlife can be seen on the property. The cabin is located just a half mile off Cade Loop road on 120 acres. This area is the most beautiful part of the Texas Hill Country. Though the cabin is out in the country, it is less than a five minute drive to the Guadalupe River and Ingram Lake. The cabin has 400 square feet of living area with a living room/ kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen has a small refrigerator, microwave, sink, and large toaster oven. The living room has a couch that converts into a Queen bed. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and shower. Ceiling fans are in every room and there are two fans on the front porch. Electric hotel-like ac/heating units in the bedrooms keep you warm or cool. all of this, plus the modern convenience of Limited data ; FREE WI-FI! It is a perfect place for a couple or a small family. Special Notice the lake is full again. We have begun restocking with fish , We expect we will have catch and release again in the fall of 2025.There are more swimming and fishing opportunities on Lake Ingram 5 minutes away. So bring your Kayaks or conoes if you want. If you need more space, there is another cabin (Papa's Palace) on the property within walking distance (see VRBO #645389). It was comfortably furnished and very clean, which was so nice. The pond is nice but be aware that, at least when I was there, it was very low, so it does not look like the pictures. It was still nice to sit out on the patio during the cool mornings. The location is off a ranch road so it’s a little hard to get to, but it is peaceful. Property is great! We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the beautiful grounds. The fish and turtles in the pond are endless entertainment and the pond is surrounded by well maintained grassy area so you can walk around the pond without worry of coming across a snake hidden in the grass. Our stay was short so I did not get around the property much but what I saw was wonderful. The cabin is small but comfortable. We will visit again. The only thing that would make it better was if there were more comfortable chairs (ideally rocking chairs) on the porch but the two chairs and nice size table work for cards or dinner on the porch. There is another identical cabin on the property. Both have the private bedroom with bath and a pull out couch. It would be great to rent both cabins for a small family gathering. It was a really nice relaxing trip and the contacts we great and very easy to work with. The owners keep it natural yet manicured without losing the county feel. There were little touches like fresh flowers on the table and the cabin had anything you could need.
