"We had a good overall experience at this B&B. The place was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was great with a good variety, and parking was easy and convenient.
Just a note—there’s no pool or tennis court on site. They do have a partnership with the local sports centre, but you’ll need to drive there as well as to most places in the area. Our room was clean and nicely decorated, but a bit too small for three people.
The staff made up for it with...
"What an absolutely marvellous hotel. Quirky quaint and thoroughly modern. Shame no trains were running when we visited, but when they are super handy for train station"
"Cute room, great comfy bed!
AC worked great, as well as the shower. A big plus to have a fridhe in the room.
I had some issues with the key but the host was always ready to help and quick to reply within a minute. The area is in the middle of beautiful Modica. I travelled alone (woman) but felt very safe in the area even late in the evening. Will stay here again!"
"Extremely loving and caring about their customers, I felt like a family. I arrived late at night, but there was a solution. I can only recommend this place"
"A very nice hotel made even better by the staff. The team made excellent suggestions for dinner, including at the hotel itself, beaches and things to do. When their expertise came into its own was when the weather deteriorated and made reservations to enjoy lunch and wine tasting at a vineyard, then at an olive oil factory. Both fab experiences. "

"After arriving at the villa, I was met by the host, who was welcoming and very courteous. The villa was spotless internally. The decor was very tired and rustic. The fridge was leaking and old. The garden, to say the least, was in an awful state. There were piles of wood everywhere, and a broken trampoline. Pallets and heaps of dead foliage were not only all over the grounds, but there was a disused fountain that was being used as a dumping pit. When questioned about the advertised HOT TUB and PIZZA OVEN. Neither of these two advertised amenities were on site, and so false selling as these were features that attracted us to the property. We stayed here for 2 weeks, and the owner turned up on a few occasions, without informing us. On one occasion, the owners sat outside the villa looking at the property from the gates. On another occasion, 3 men were sitting outside the villa, no notification or information on why they were there. I had to address the three men due to fear the safety of my family, only to be then told they were waiting for the owner to turn up to "work on the garden" at 7 pm!!!! When we returned from eating out, NO work had been done in the garden, and an old fridge freezer had been dumped on the driveway of the property!!!! The pool was only cleaned once in the 2 weeks. "
"Peaceful rural location yet ideally located for exploration of nearby Val di Noto towns.
Friendly staff. Beautiful food. Great pool. Spacious rooms. Would happily return! "
"
We had the most peaceful and enjoyable stay at Torre Don Virgilio. The resort is beautifully maintained, with stunning grounds that feature some of the most amazing olive trees we’ve ever seen. The atmosphere was serene and perfect for relaxation. The food was absolutely excellent, offering authentic flavors with a touch of elegance. The service was top-notch, and the staff made sure every detail was perfect. Our room was impeccable—clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Overall, we highly recommend Torre Don Virgilio to anyone looking for a perfect getaway."
