While I understand the cultural significance of holidays in different countries, being a hotel that caters to many international cliental they could have been considerate of sleep...again...being a hotel...a place to sleep and eat. We visited during Ramadan and so most locals are up all hours of the night however, doing major construction work at 1 am (literally, drilling and hammering) is not acceptable. They did move our room to a "quieter" location however, the construction work could still be heard and the dining room above scraping chairs across the floor from 2-5am was not a great way to care for guests. They are obviously a very conservative Muslim hotel (no alcohol, separate times for men and women to use the pool, etc) and did not show concern for those who may not be of the same faith by planning construction while most people who are not celebrating Ramadan would be sleeping. Dinner wasn't until 10pm and when we were directed to a cafe, where we could order, the food was "eh"...not terrible, just not good. The shower, again looked lovely but the mold around the bottom ledge was gross. That was our 3rd visit to the hotel but will be choosing another in the future.
