The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean. There is a coffee shop on site which we liked and found convenient. Also convenient were the tramway station and access to the nearby hiking trails. We enjoyed our stay.

Eagle Cap has the best ice cream shop, more quiet than down the street...weve been coming to it for years before we stayed here, just for the Mtn Berry shake. This year we enjoyed staying here, having the pool for the kids was nice even though we were hardly there become the lake is so beautiful.

Not only was the room clean and inviting, Eagle Cap went out of their way to make it pet-friendly, even providing bowls for food and water. And biscuits. And talk about convenient: you can walk to the Mt. Howard Tram, and walk to dining and shopping. And it's only a 5 minute drive to Joseph.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to find this property within walking distance of Wallowa Lake, the Lodge, the Skyway Tram and walking trails! We had assumed it was in the actual town of Joseph and a 5 mile drive to the Tram and Lodge! What a treat for us to be able to walk to the Lodge to enjoy a glass of wine and a beer on the Lodge deck and to be right next door to the Tram! Loved it!
