It was clean but the bed was uncomfortable and there was only one pillow. There is a free breakfast. People seemed to like it but it looked unappetizing to me. For a budget hotel it is good but for a midrange hotel it is below APA and the like. The location is great though.

I can't recommend enough! The hotel is strategically located - few bus stops from the station and walking distance from all the interesting sites. The room was very clean, the facilities great. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast, Japanese, was generous and full of yummy stuff. I would stay there again and wholeheartedly recommend it ;-)

Location!
The hotel is a solid choice and the location can’t be beat. We were close to everything. Although our room was small we had everything we needed. The hotel also has a shuttle to the train station. Not sure how to pick it up at the station (we took the city bus), but the shuttle was great for our return trip. Many shops and excellent restaurants nearby. Both castle and gardens are a short walk from the hotel.

Convenient hotel in Kanazawa
My husband and I stayed for a night in Toyoko Inn Kanazawa during a vacation trip to Japan. This hotel was very well located. The room was small (as usual in Japan) but practical, clean, and very convenient.

good location
The location was great, close to Kenroku-en and 21st Century Museum that we had planned to visit. There seemed to be many eateries nearby, we had a good affordable dinner at an "izakaya" just 5-min walk from the hotel. The room was just clean enough to feel comfortable, very basic.
