"Unfortunately our stay was cut short by bushfire but the day and a half we spent there was nice. It is a great location to explore flinders Chase National park which is magnificent and nearby Hanson Beach is stunning. The retreat even has some small nature walks around the property that we saw some great birdlife on (they have their own bird blind so bring your camera). The bbq area is great and we enjoyed some home cooked steaks so don't be afraid to ask the restaurant to borrow what you need -...

"The house was well presented and the pantry was well stocked with the basics. Extra quilts and blankets are provided which we made use of as the nights were very cold, the AC did an ok job of keeping the place warm.Towels are provided for showers but no hand towel in case that bothers anyone.The river and beach are both beautiful and within easy walking distance.All in all the property was everything we needed for our stay on Kangaroo island."
