This is beautiful, but not quite as stunning as the photos you'll see on Google if it's an overcast day. To really see the stunning colors, you need bright sun and a blue sky. Regardless, it's worth a quick visit if it's on your route. We spent a quick 15 minutes max there taking in the view and then walking down into the crater.

Cost $4 to visit, not much to see
This was completely frozen over in January, so you can’t see the blue water beneath.
Start your drive earlier enough to get there before sunset. It's cool even at dusk but wish we had seen with more light!
