“The location is great. The road is a tad noisy when outside but cannot hear it inside the cottage. The cottage has all essentials for 2 people. The bathroom can be quite akward even for a slim person. The shelf in the bathroom needs fixing and the doors of the shower don't close properly.”

“This is a great apartment - it has a great location within 5 minutes walk of the centre of Keswick super handy access to Booths Supermarket and great views to the North looking at Skidaw and its approaches. Inside it is comfortable and has everything that you need for your stay - all kitchen and laundry is as expected and bed linen plus bath and hand towels were provided for each guest. Will absolutely stay again.”

“In dire need of attention. The entrance was disgraceful. We had to almost climb over the weeds growing out of the gaps making it extremely difficult to walk through, especially when on crutches. Whilst clean on the surface, there were hanging cobwebs, rotten windows which couldn't be opened and dirt along all the skirting boards, pillows that should have been put in the skip as they were so lumpy and the mattress cover was barely in one piece. “We all enjoyed staying in the property. It had plenty room and did not feel over crowded with 8 of us staying there. The water pressure for the showers was very good. Plenty plates/cutlery etc in the kitchen. Small point was that the oven took a very long time to cook anything but otherwise all good. We would come back.”

“The property is situated on a main road so there is some traffic noise but you would expect that from such a central location. Parking facilities are excellent. We easily got a medium car in the space available. We were lucky enough to be able to eat on the terrace balcony three times- amazing views. Overall would highly recommend”

“The accommodation offered value for money in a great location within easy driving distance of Keswick. If we were to be critical we would say that the stairs are tricky if even for the most able bodied particularly at night time. The bed is a small double and extremely soft therefore if sharing with another person you both end up in the middle. The low ceiling is once again tricky particularly if you are tall and despite many customer comments about the shower it does not stay in place and……

“The cottage is in a great location for the northern lakes giving easy access to Ulleswater, Grasmere and Windermere. The house was very clean and contained everything you would expect. Although there is a shower head in the bath it’s not easy to use as there is no shower curtain or screen. The jacuzzi was very nice though once you got the bath to a nice temperature. The heating control was a little lacking. We could not turn the temperature down in the middle single bed room and this room……

“When we arrived our original accommodation was no longer available due to essential work going on. Hotel upgraded us to a de luxe room with lake view, and gave us 7 days of full English breakfasts, all at no extra charge. Excellent staff! Friendly and approachable. “There is nothing I would fault about the lodge, the location, or the whole weekend. We were very lucky with the weather, so we’re able to take advantage of sitting outside with the fabulous view of lake and hills beyond. Although the lodge is situated on the path down to the lake, it was still quiet enough not to be an issue. The lodge itself was a great size, with everything you need, and was lovely and clean. All in all, a fabulous break and we will definitely return. ”

“Absolutely gorgeous lodge in a stunning and peaceful location. So handy. Close to all our usual haunts in Keswick but the setting makes you feel like you are wonderfully cut off from the world and I mean that in the best possible way. The lodge was super well equipped and the WiFi was better than at home! Tackled a few more Wainwrights while we were there. Would not hesitate to return to the site. The only minor blip was that there were workers fixing the electrics for some time when we arrived……
