"This is a beautifully appointed shepherd's hut on the edge of a pretty and quiet village in the North Pennines. Lots of walking routes nearby and just a few miles from Appleby-in-Westmoreland.
We enjoyed our stay very much though were disappointed that the internet signal was so poor. The TV would not stream smoothly so not worth having it there at the moment. Still, this was a small sacrifice for the pleasure of experiencing tiny living life for a few days. Everything else worked really...

"Lovely hotel with attentive and friendly staff, a very comfortable room and excellent breakfast food (freshly cooked with a choice of hot options); evening meal also excellent, well worth the price. No road noise, plenty of parking. Be sure to say if you need a mobility friendly room. Nice cafes, pubs, shops in nearby Kirkby Stephen. "

The staff were amazing! Both the lady who served me for a wonderfully cooked evening meal on the first night of my stay …. To the lady who served my breakfast on both mornings!
