Nice alternative for Kinabalu Park

Great, cheap alternative for visiting Kinabalu Park. Walking distance from the entrance, and the bus for KK/Sandakan just outside the door. Room is a bit budget, but nice blankets and hot shower. The view and the food is great:-)

Hotel nahe Kinabalu Nationalpark

Needs Renovation and Repair

The location is pretty good being a 10 minute walk to the Kinabalu National park. The staff are friendly and produce good meals although breakfast is very basic and almost inedible. The biggest negative is the condition of the accommodation and its cleanliness. I wouldn't mind too much but we were paying prices much higher than the standard offered. The owners need to spend some of the profits they are making on renovation and repair of existing facilities.

Too thin blankets

The view was great. The outside area as well if it would not have been cold at this time. I think if you bring warm clothes as jacket and warm pyjamas, you could enjoy your stay. However, since it can get quite cold there at night, the two thin blankets were not enough for anybody. An extra blanket can be rented but involves extra charge. A water cooker can be rented per day as well against charge. Haha, it is discouraging when you brought like me instant noodles and own tea to keep costs down. I guess what mainly bothered me that i had not the choice of self preparing my own stuff.
