“The property gave off Best Western vibes. The carpet was old, the rooms were a mix of traditional and modern. That can be done well, this wasn’t. Our air conditioning was broken, so they put a stand up unit in the room which worked but was loud and meant we had to keep the window open for the hose to vent. The hotel offered us 2 free drinks because of the inconvenience. No lotion or anything more than shampoo and soap in the bathroom. The towels were small, relatively thin, but they were nice……

Hotel extended since our last stay, good number of extra rooms, extension and rooms tastefully done, just a 10/15 min walk to the old port where there are many places to enjoy a drink and watch the sun going down. Then a great selection of excellent quality restaurants all at reasonable prices.”
“The hotel is very small (maybe 16 rooms) and right on the old port. You simply cannot beat the location. Check-in was a bit unusual, as the reception was not open for check-in until 3 pm. There is an option for an earlier check-in for a small fee but we arrived right at 3. There is no elevator and the initial stairs up to the reception area are steep. It may be prohibitive for people with mobility issues, but we found the stairs manageable. The room was large and very clean. Very minimalist,……

“A lovely little "bed and breakfast" style hotel just a fifteen-minute walk from the centre of La Rochelle. The hotel was clean and well looked after, and perfect for our needs. We arrived earlier than planned (around 1pm) and were unable to find parking on the road outside the hotel, but we parked on the road along the seafront and it was fairly cheap for a few hours. I was then able to find a parking space outside the hotel at around 5pm and moved the car. A nice stroll back from the centre……

La salle de douche est plutôt vétuste et la douche vraiment limite avec en plus une arrivée d'eau minime.
L'hôtel est situé dans une rue plutôt calme mais les chambre offrent une proximité offrant une oreille sur les conversations des voisins de chambre.”
