“Nice place for area adventures. A little hard to find in the dark but served our needs well. Very interesting community. Enjoyed our time there.”

“Enjoyed the space we had for 10 guests. Everything was clean but for the pots, pans & dish wear (at least to our standards), we didn't mind washing everything before we used the items. Hosts were most generous with all the supplies and linens left for the guests. We also liked the proximity of the grocery store and gas station, even though we only used once. Hosts gave excellent pre stay instructions which we followed specially the notes on shopping in Alpine before arrival, Lowes Grocery store……

“Rarely does anything, any place or anyone OVER-deliver on a promise but the Star Gazer does. The deck cooking area and banos with showers inside and out were my favorite part. The Airstream itself is cozy and clean and the expansive view was life affirming. We had one tiny problem when we arrived but the host picked up our call and quickly talked us through it. I’m giving five stars only because I can’t give 6.”

“House was great. Could use some updates. The upstairs bathroom was extremely small. We were very impressed that all the toiletries were available and extra if needed, the dryer vent had not been cleaned in some time and should be checked often. We visited Far Flung outdoor adventures; the guide was great. We did the 360-jeep tour, also went to Starlight for dinner, the cantina next door to starlight, Venga for brunch, free mimosas on Sundays! Hiked closed canyon, which was beautiful. Went……

We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen well stocked with everything imaginable. Plenty of towels, bed linens pillows and blankets.The sunrise and sunsets were gorgeous. You are literally surrounded by mountains. You are close to restaurants and there is one small store. “Fossil Knob Ridge was the perfect home base for exploring Big Bend National Park. We loved being so close to the park and the town of Terlingua. The property had everything we needed and more, including amazing views from every window, comfortable beds, fast Wi-Fi, a fully stocked kitchen, a cute outdoor seating area for star gazing at night, the list goes on! Daryl and Janet were great hosts, and they made us feel welcome and comfortable as soon as we arrived. Easily one of our best trips ever……

“We really enjoyed Casa Mariposa. Perfect for a couple. Good location with several good restaurants within a mile or two. The Starlight Theatre, Bar and Grill has amazing food, and we caught some great live music when there. The bed was really comfortable, which is a must after a full day of hiking. The A/C's cranked, which is also a must. I was concerned that we would be too far from the good hiking, but that was not true. We were within 30 min to 1 hour of the best hiking in the park.
