"Do not look for luxury, but it is clean and comfortable. The Bad Rabbit is not a fast restaurant, but why rush, you have already driven 16 miles off the highway to get there. Food was very good. Sit on your porch, and look at the stars, the Milky Way and the Moon! Also, do not forget sunsets and sun rises around the appropriate mountains that surround the place. Solitude personified."

"Cooking was enjoyable having a fully stocked kitchen. It was nice having filtered water from the tap. It wasn't very hard to observe water conservation which was obvious being in the desert. Although we didn't use the hot/cold tub ourselves it looked very inviting. "

"You are out in the country in the desert. For us, this was a plus. So incrediblty quiet, peaceful and great scenery. Millions of stars with a brilliant twinkling Milky Way at night. Easy to find and lots of free parking. Staff cooked to order; wonderful breakfast. Friendly privately owned property. It is pet friendly but none were there when we stayed. Barking dogs would have ruined it. Highly recommend to adventurous outdoor types. Would definitely stay again."

"The RV was clean and comfortable with all necessary items(bath,kitchen,linens) provided. There is a large refrigerator, so you can bring your own food (recommended, as it’s 32 miles to the nearest store or restaurant).The steps up into the RV could be an issue for a person with mobility problems as they are steep. Very comfortable bed. This IS an RV, so bathroom odor is noticeable; it's a good idea to bring your own fragrances to combat the smell. The property this is on is fantastic, exactly what we went to Big Bend for. It is isolated enough for a camping experience but easy enough to travel for other activities. We enjoyed bird watching from the covered porch, as well as a regular parade of foxes, deer, javelinas, and quail ( apologies if I missed anyone 😉.) The stars at night are unbelievable, we went on the dark of the moon. There is good water, use it sparingly as this is the desert. The hosts are wonderful people, they encouraged us to treat this as our home. We very much enjoyed sitting on the porch and hearing stories of the area. Ask the host before visiting about excursions they provide, we missed the opportunity but plan to next time."

"John is the GM, we talked w him for a while up front. Super nice & very knowledgable of the Terlingua. My wife & I stayed in a double room. Bathroom, sink, 2 beds, tv. We didn't ever turn the TV on while we were there. We loved our stay here. The location is perfect. John used a term, something to the effect of "Vintage hotel at affordable pricing" - that's exactly what it is. If you need a place to stay that won't break your bank, yet provide everything needed, Chisos is a wonderful place to stay! "
