La colazione è ottima e abbondante, il ristorante è valido ed economico, tanto che di sera si fatica a trovare posto. Lo staff è molto gentile ed accogliente, come è solito in Malesia, ma la proprietaria ha una marcia in più: disponibilità massima ad ogni richiesta ragionevole, cortesia innata ed aiuto sempre presente (per esempio, ci ha consigliato un noleggio conveniente per lo scooter, prolungato il check-out fino al pomeriggio gratuitamente e chiamandoci un grab economico per il trasferimento all'aeroporto al ritorno). L'unico aspetto da migliorare che mi sento di consigliare, è sul fronte dei pagamenti: ormai, al giorno d'oggi, sarebbe importante poter pagare almeno con carta di credito, cosa ancora non possibile al Cactus Inn, dove regna incontrato il cash! I enjoyed my stay in room 6 at the Cactus Inn. PROS: 1\. Great location close/walkable to the beach; 2\. Quiet & peaceful property setting with pleasant courtyard feel; 3\. Nice and helpful staff -- feels like you are staying with family; 4\. SImple, clean, basic room at a good price; 5\. Secure/bolted room safe to store valuables; 6\. On-site restaurant with plenty of food options; 6\. Short walk to the beach, laundry, mini-mart, and restaurants; 7\. Ability to use their wash machine, if needed; 8\. Family-owned business with owner and staff living on-site, so it's always easy to get in touch with someone, if needed. 9\. All items in the room work as intended without issue. CONS: 1\. Entry door needs weatherstripping; 2\. Bathroom need a silicone water divider on the floor to prevent shower water from making its way around the entire bathroom floor; 3\. Wifi network is open/unsecured; 4\. On-site restaurant is cash only and doesn't accept credit cards. The owners went above and beyond to help us when we realized we didn't have enough cash and the nearest ATM was a very long confusing 45 minute walk away. They called us a grab to the ATM, gave the driver instructions to wait for us and bring us back to the inn, and even called us a grab the following morning for our morning flight - letting us know that grab was WAY less expensive than calling a taxi, which would have been easier for them. They are such sweet people, and their restaurant is amazing too! We would recommend them to anyone. The owner and his wife and her sister were very nice and friendly and I had such wonderful time from the beginning of my trip. They also gave me lots of information to travel well. Room is also nice and clean. Safe, fridge, aircond, water heater are provided. 10min walk to tengah beach. With small kids 15min walk. Estimated About 1km..love the cactus cafe next door. Convenient when u have kids and not keen to go out late at night for meals n snack or raining season. Pancake for breakfast is nice. Satay for dinner is good too. Not sure about daily room clean up. They didn't do it although i stay 2 nights. My only con is limited to TV channels. Boss is gracious to allow me to check out 1-hour late. With car, u can go to crowded cenang beach in 5minutes.
