“Quaint little wooden gite in a peaceful village rural location. Great location for visiting WW1 memorials around The Somme region. Amiens is a beautiful city about 25 minutes away. We used as a base to visit Lille and Paris for the Olympic’s and both were about an hour and a half drive away. The host was constantly in touch for arrival and made us feel very welcome. ”

And then I found the apartment was on the second floor accessed by a narrow circular staircase. This needs to be in the listing. I’m 81, cannot lift my bags snd that type stair is risky for me., The owner offered to carry my bag up but I didn’t want to deal with it. She was kind enough to call elsewhere, get me a hotel room, drive me……

“Auto kon makkelij de garage ingereden worden en daar uitgeladen. Is erg makkelijk. Interieur is in mijn ogen beetje oubollig maar wel netjes. Tweede badkamer, mag die naam eigenlijk niet hebben. Oke je kan onder de douche staan als je niet te lang bent, maar je er onder wassen is onmogelijk. Veel te krab. Zo ook het erg kleine wasbakje, omdat er een kastje bovenhangt wordt het erg krab. Koekepannen mogen wel vernieuwd worden, net als de messen. ”
