There must've been a smoke detector at some point as there is a fitting in the hall but no longer. That point tells you a lot about how important your safety is to the hosts, it should be illegal to rent a property without basic standard (and cheap) alarms. "We had a lovely week in Chalet Mon Sousou. Every morning we took the bus to the ski gondel, very convenient in front of the chalet. It is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood surrounded by neighbouring houses. Although the chalet has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and fully equipped, with 7 adults the house is a bit tight, but still cosy. "Clean room, shower had some black mold. The air conditioning is in-unit and won’t really go lower than 72, even if it’s set lower. Staff was kind and helpful. Not much wiggle room on check in. Pretty loud at night - the music doesn’t die down until around 11 pm."

"Beautiful location with view of mountains and glacier. Reataurant food is very tasty, but they have limited menu and they close at 830 pm. Uber/Bolt service are not reliable, drivers keep canceling. I guess thatbis issue at most of the France, unless ypu are in a big city. Only issue.... reception closes at 930 and you have to contact them if you are running late, but no one picks up the phone, and no iron for clothes and no hair dryer in the room. Though Iron is available upon request. Overall we loved it and will stay again."

As an added bonus, it is across the street from the bus stop, now for most cities that is not a bonus but let's remeber this is France not Newark. Easy to catch the Felxibus back to Geneva"

It was the perfect base for exploring Chamonix, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again."

"Spent two nights during summer. Excellent stay for a great price. Great space, good accommodations. The staff accommodates English speakers and went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. They even upgraded us to a mountain view room and offered to hold our luggage for 1.5 days when we went to camp at Lac de Cheserys. Although it seems somewhat remote from city center, it is actually quite accessible and they often provide shuttle service to and from the hotel. There was also a miscommunication which led to them sending shuttle service to pick us up at the Chamonix Mont-Blanc train/bus station even though we had arrived by other means. Thankfully, they were patient with us regarding that. Highly recommend for anyone planning to spend a few days in Chamonix."
