"Nous avons passé une nuit dans cette petite caravane avec deux adultes et 3 enfants (13/10 et 2 ans) La literie est très confortable et propre ainsi que le bloc sanitaires à l'écart. Idéal pour passer un moment au calme entouré d'animaux que les enfants ont adoré. "Our host at Au Fer à Cheval was Romain, a friendly and helpful man. He owns about 20 English thoroughbred race horses, as well as breeds them. His farm is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was unfortunately cold and wet for the two nights that we were there, so we couldn't use the pool, and the roads were too slippery for him to take us out in his horse-drawn carriage, but we did see two of his retired racing mares with their foals. Our room was comfortable and clean, good shower, and a small kitchenette. It's a good idea to take your own tea, coffee and milk with you. Continental breakfast was good and delivered to our room at the time we requested. A good guide book in English of what to do in the area was left in our room, but perhaps the only disadvantage of the place is that it is quite isolated and a long way from any any restaurants. Overall, a lovely place, and we'd recommended it."

"A very pleasant stay at Gite du Jouteau with our family of eleven, our ages ranged from 9 to 76. Surprisingly the indoor pool was a bonus with temps in the mid 30s during our stay allowing us to cool off easily. Very quiet area and a relaxing stay in the Sarthe region of France."

"Staff were friendly. Hotel was a bit basic but reasonable value for money. Room had no air conditioning. Window could not be opened securely. Shower was a bit dated. Bed had a low metal headboard so it was very uncomfortable to sit on the bed and read or watch television. There was no chair to sit on. The room was serviced well however and the staff were very nice. THe food was a good standard."
