"In the middle of nowhere. Quiet place to relax. Near Germany (5 min by car). Old farm becomed hotel, conference place, wedding... Room quiet, large tv, big parking. Owner available to explain the history of that place and helpful. Only one improvement asked : increase the signal of wifi. Sometimes connection and none few minutes after. "

"The room was very clean and the staff were exceptionally courteous and friendly throughout my stay. The room itself was a bit on the small side, and the walls between rooms are quite thin, so you can hear your neighbors. Breakfast was okay but fairly basic, nothing particularly memorable. "Prided for being the oldest hotel in Denmark, you can feel its history the moment you step into the lobby, with its charming period furnishings. If you want a true taste of history, this is the place to stay. The rooms are adequate and warm, though ours had a rather slanted floor. The location is excellent.. right next to the cathedral and at the start of Ribe’s old street, two of the town’s main attractions. A small hiccup during check-in: there was no one at reception, and calls to the provided number went unanswered, which meant we couldn’t access the private parking. Breakfast, however, was fantastic, with a nice variety of options."

"Pro’s: Bed was reasonable. Room was a comfortable size, there was an on suite bathroom. Nice enough breakfast. Con’s: Terrible, strange rude women at reception every day and night. Correction, she was never at reception but in a room behind with a dart board etc where you had to call to her to come to reception to do her job which she clearly didn’t want to do. Rude in her speaking to us, irritated that we had German passports but spoke English. Weirdly ending sentences halfway through with eyes strangely rolling. She didn’t even open the passports to check if we are who we say we are. I’ve never seen that before at a hotel. In the morning coming to clean our table with a wet cloth but cleaning only half the table half heartedly doing half her job as usual. Pools outside all dark brown with fungi growing in them. Broken football goal fallen over with the net twisted around the top post also in full view of the breakfrast area outside as is the pool. Bathroom, ours had a glass shelf half inside a metal frame slanting at 30 degrees towards us and with a glass hand soap dispenser teetering on the edge. I had to take it down to the basin for fear of it falling and what if the loose glass shelf fell on my foot. Weird basin and shower combination tap with a long pipe to the basin and a switch to change between the shower and the basin. Once we had showered a terrible smell came up from the shower drain which filled the whole hotel room making us barely able to breath. "
