“The location and apartment were great! Unfortunately the beds were the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in - so lumpy and uneven we couldn't sleep for the 2 nights we were there. The sofa bed mattress was so thin you could feel the metal frame all night. The mattresses all need replacing!”

“I just wanted to say our stay at timekeepers cottage was the best experience and holiday I have ever had. Myself my partner my son and my dog; perfect facility. Homely; amazing interior design and kitchen essentials where better than i have my self. Really clean; adored the stable door in the kitchen. Amazing lighting with adjustable levels of light and cool LED near stairs and living room area. The garden was beautiful and I named it the secret fairy garden! Also with a washing line clean……

“This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all……

“Luxury is suɓjective but no. Studio suite was small with no lake view. Arrived to find black sharp grit dog hair and dried dog food on floor and some grit and dog hair on bottom of the bed. Vacumn in entrance solved this. Black mould on glass and frame in bathroom due to single glazing on all windows was cleaned. Despite staying 3 nights owner was unable to replace the missing hair dryer in that time. Middle window curtain and underbench rubbish bin needs repairing. Parking on site and bed……

“We had a lovely few days in this quaint cottage. There is everything you need and very close to the village pub, where they let us park our car, as not really ideal outside the cottage. Will definitely return if we go back to the Lake Distruct.”

“Clean room, comfy bed and a good shower. Hallways could have done with a quick vac. Missed second day breakfast but still enough left.”
