"We had a wonderful stay here! Found everything we needed in the kitchen and enjoyed the sound of the river so very much! Had a great hike up the Rapid River Trail. Couldn’t ask for a better weekend!"

"Upon arrival, we were very surprised by the location (high on a hill but easy to get to), the layout of the house, the cleanliness, and all the amenities. The views of the hills and the Salmon River were outrageously peaceful and beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with every cooking pot, pan, utensil you can imagine--all looking new. Excellent air conditioning and heat. We rented this house for just 2 people (even though you could easily sleep 8) for the purpose of visiting extended family in the area. Little did we know at the time of making the reservation that our family was located extremely close by. When they visited the house, they too were very impressed. It felt like you were staying in the Bavarian Alps. We would suggest putting some grab bars in the master shower because the stone floor gets slippery when wet. We must admit that this is the first house we have ever rented and it sets a very high standard for future rentals. We made use of the nearest town (White Bird) by eating at Red's Kitchen several times and buying some antiques at the local antique store. We highly recommend this rental and plan to return."

"I highly recommend Salmon Rapids Lodge. The hotel is charming with beautiful scenery. My room was very clean. My travel plans changed and I arrived in the early morning hours. The staff were kind, responsive and prompt with my messages regarding my late arrival. I appreciated the customer service when I finally arrived. The breakfast and coffee is also great."

"The cabin was more than expected. It was very spacious; 3 levels with a bedroom and bathroom for each. The upstairs bedroom was very large with plenty of space for more than 3 people. The living room was open with great views of the river. We opened the doors on each side of the living room to listen to the sounds of the river which could be easily heard. The wrap around porch made maneuvering in and out to the outside very accessible. The house was well equipped with dishes and other items for cleaning if necessary. We caught many trout right outside the cabin. We explored several of the nearby towns like McCall and Cascade which help when wanting to be around a larger town otherwise Pollock is quiet and very secluded. Would love to return again. "

"We had a fabulous week at French Creek Inn. It is in an incredible setting. Love drifting off to sleep listening to the creek at night. Great location to ATV and explore the area. Carey dome lookout. Marshall lake and Burgdorf hot springs are all worth the trip.Hosts are wonderful. Hope to return again."

"Nice, quiet & peaceful area. The cabin is set up to be comfortable and convenient with everything that a person would need for a nice stay. We've stayed there twice now, mainly because our three dogs are welcome. We will make our next vacation stay in Riggins at the Salmon River cabins! "
