Very convenient road trip breaker, which backs onto an airfield, with sky diving and gliding actively entertaining us whilst enjoying our beer on the terrace. Our room was so quiet and dark due to efficient drapes, that we slept in and nearly missed breakfast, which would have been a shame as it was good. A couple of restaurants and KFC within a few yards, we chose the excellent Au Bureau…. good quality and value, having eaten there elsewhere in France. Would certainly stay again!

Location is excellent, with the train stations, restaurants, shops, and the Grand Place all within easy walking distance. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The room and all the common areas were very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, we visited during two exceptionally hot days. The room had a small fan, which was better than nothing, but because of the heat we had to keep the window open. Our room was on the first floor facing the street. Although vehicle access is restricted, the noise from people passing by was quite noticeable. At 6:00 a.m., a driver crashed into a bollard, which woke us up, and from then on, rubbish collection and street cleaning added to the noise. I believe our experience would have been much more positive during cooler weather, when opening the window wouldn't have been necessary. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay, especially if you're travelling with light luggage and visiting outside the hottest months. Considering the price we paid, I feel it offered good value for money.
